Goalie Start
Darling will start Sunday vs. the Golden Knights.
Darling allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Hurricanes loss to the Flames last Sunday. Cam Ward got the nod last night, so Darling will be between the pipes on home ice tonight. The 29-year-old draws a tough matchup tonight and comes in at 5-4-3 with a 2.84 GAA and .900 SV% on home-ice this season.
Call up / Send down
The Red Wings have recalled Joe Hicketts from Grand Rapids (AHL); will make his NHL debut on Monday.
Goalie Start
Glass will start Monday against the Lightning.
Glass stopped nine of 11 shots after replacing Anton Forsberg in the Blackhawks loss to the Islanders on Saturday. In his last four appearances, Glass has gone 2-2-0 with a 3.29 GAA and .893 SV%. Tonight he will face a Lightning team that has lost five of their last seven games (2-4-1).
Anisimov (upper-body) is expected to be back in the Chicago lineup on Monday.
The Devils placed Brian Gibbons on IR with a broken thumb.
The Devils placed Keith Kinkaid (groin) on IR.
Kinkaid, who was making his third consecutive start on Saturday, had to leave the game early after suffering a groin injury in the first period. Ken Appleby was excellent in relief, but the Devils are hoping that Cory Schneider (illness) will be ready for Monday’s game against Detroit.
Helm (lower-body) is not expected back until after the All-Star break.
Helm has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury and is expected to miss at least three more games as the Red Wings head into the All-Star break.
Abdelkader (lower-body) will miss at least two more games.
Abdelkader has missed the last three games and will miss the Red Wings back-to-back on Monday/Tuesday. Monitor Abdelkader’s status heading into Thursday’s game.
Glendening (hand) could return to the Red Wings lineup on Tuesday.
Glendening has been out since December 20th but it looks like he might be back in the second game of a back-to-back to kick-off the week. Even when he’s in the lineup, Glendening doesn’t have a lot of fantasy appeal—he has just 10 points (7G / 3A) in 34 games this season.
Daley (lower-body) will miss at least the next two games.
Daley was forced to leave Saturday’s game vs. the Hurricanes with a lower-body injury and won’t be available for the Red Wings’ back-to-back to start the week. Joe Hicketts has been recalled from Grand Rapids (AHL) and will make his NHL debut in Daley’s spot on Monday.
Goalie Start
Hellebuyck will start Sunday vs. the Canucks.
Hellebuyck allowed one goal on 31 shots in the Jets win in Calgary last night. With Steve Mason out with a concussion, the Jets will stick with Hellebuyck tonight against the Canucks. In his last five outings, Hellebuyck has gone 3-2-0 while allowing 11 goals on 160 shots (.931 SV%). He is also 2-0-0 with a 1.51 GAA and .948 SV% in his first two games against Vancouver.
Goalie Start
Elliott will start Sunday afternoon in Washington.
Elliott allowed five goals on 21 shots in the Flyers loss in New York on Tuesday. Michal Neuvirth started the last two games, including last night, so Elliott starts this afternoon in Washington. In his first start vs. the Capitals, Elliott allowed two goals on 23 shots in a 8-2 win back in October.
Line Change
Leipsic will be back in the Golden Knights lineup on Sunday.
Leipsic has not been in the lineup for the last three games but he will be back in tonight in Carolina. Leipsic will be back in his usual spot on the third line and either Oscar Lindberg or Ryan Carpenter will be the healthy scratch. Leipsic has just one goal but 11 assists (12 points) in 34 games this season.
Goalie Start
Holtby will start Sunday afternoon vs. the Flyers.
Holtby allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Capitals overtime loss in New Jersey on Thursday. With three sets of back-to-backs in a row, Holtby has not played a lot recently but he will be back in against Philadelphia and will try to snap a brief two-game losing skid. Holtby has been excellent at home this season, going 15-5-0 with a 2.13 GAA and .932 SV% in 20 games.
Goalie Start
Fleury will start Sunday in Carolina.
Fleury stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Golden Knights win in Tampa Bay on Thursday. Malcolm Subban started for the first time in five games the next night so Fleury should be well rested for tonight’s game in Carolina. Fleury has gone 3-2-1 with a 1.35 GAA, .956 SV% and one shutout in his first six starts in January.
The Canucks have activated Bo Horvat (leg) from IR; may return to the Canucks lineup on Sunday.
Horvat has been out since December 5th but traveled with the team on their current road-trip and it looks like he may return to the lineup in Winnipeg on Sunday. Horvat had a really nice season going prior to getting hurt, collecting 20 points (10G / 10A) in his first 28 games—a 59-point pace. Horvat was featured on a line with Brock Boeser before the injury, but he was practicing with the Sedin Twins in Friday’s practice.
The Canucks have placed Erik Gudbranson (back) on IR.
The news of Gudbranson’s injury came shortly before Saturday’s game in Edmonton and it is serious enough to land him on IR for the time being. The good news for Canucks fans is that his roster spot will be taken by Bo Horvat, who was activated from IR in a corresponding move. Gudbranson will miss at least one week as a result of this move.
Gudbranson (undisclosed) will not be in the Canucks lineup on Saturday.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
