Szwarz has not recorded a point in three games with Belleville but had 46 points (23G / 23A) in 68 AHL games a season ago. He has seven points (4G / 3A) in 47 career NHL games with the Coyotes and Bruins.

Paul has had a strong start to the season, scoring one goal with three assists in three AHL games. The 24-year-old is a candidate to draw into the lineup on Monday afternoon and comes up with eight points (4G / 4A) in 56 career NHL games.

Halak allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Bruins loss in Colorado last Thursday. Halak has gone 1-1-0 with a 1.52 GAA and .957 SV% in his first two starts and the Bruins goalie rotation will continue today vs. the Ducks. Anaheim has started the season at 4-1-0 but are averaging just 2.20 goals per game, so don’t hesitate to start Halak on Monday.

Quick gave up eight goals on 25 shots in the Kings’ blowout loss in Vancouver on Thursday. Quick has had a terrible start to the season, allowing a combined 14 goals on 56 shots (.750 SV%) in two games. With Jack Campbell starting last night vs. the Predators, Quick draws the terrible matchup vs. the Golden Knights. Stay far away from him tonight.

Fleury stopped 33 of 35 shots in the Golden Knights win over the Flames last night. With Malcolm Subban out with a lower-body injury, Fleury is expected to start both games of the Golden Knights weekend back-to-back. He has had a great start to the season, posting a 2.16 GAA and .930 SV% in four starts and is a must-start in Los Angeles.

Jarry won the Penguins backup job, perhaps because of a lower AAV than Casey DeSmith but he’s Matt Murray’s backup nonetheless. With Murray starting the first five games of the season, including last night, Jarry will make his season debut in Winnipeg. He was 23-23-3 with a 2.66 GAA and .915 SV% in the AHL last season and has a .906 career SV% in 29 NHL appearances.

Abramov scored a goal in his season debut but returns to the AHL with Mikkel Boedker likely taking his spot in the lineup on Monday. Abramov didn’t have a point in his AHL season debut but had seven points (4G / 3A) in 18 AHL games last year.

While Howard has been solid, Saturday’s matchup is not appealing. Howard went 1-1-0 against Toronto last season, with a 2.97 GAA and .891 SV%.

Varlamov was pulled after allowing four goals on 19 shots in the Islanders' loss to the Oilers on Tuesday. With Thomas Greiss starting Friday in Carolina, Varlamov will get the tail-end of the back-to-back vs. the Panthers. Florida hasn’t played al that well early-on, so Varlamov makes for a solid option for those in need of wins this weekend.

Montembeault allowed one goal on 20 shots after replacing Sergei Bobrovsky in the Panthers loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday. With Bobrovsky starting Friday in Buffalo, Montembeault will make his first start of the season on the tail-end of the back-to-back. It’s a solid matchup against an offensively challenged Islanders team, making him a reasonable spot-start option if you’re desperate.
