Howard will start Friday vs. the Rangers.

Howard allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Red Wings loss in New Jersey on Wednesday. Howard has lost six of his last seven starts while posting a 2.71 GAA and .902 SV%. Tonight he faces a Rangers team he has enjoyed success against in his career but was on the wrong end of a 2-1 OT final in late-November.

Jimmy Howard
Hellebuyck will start Friday vs. the Islanders.

Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Jets win over the Oilers on Wednesday. Hellebuyck has won three of his last four starts while posting a 1.96 GAA, .931 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he faces the visiting Islanders at the Bell MTS Place, where he has gone 13-1-1 with a 2.20 GAA and .924 SV% this season.

Connor Hellebuyck
Rask will start Saturday in Ottawa.

Rask allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Bruins win over the Senators on Wednesday. Rask has won four straight games while allowing just five goals on 113 shots (.956 SV%). Rask comes into the weekend red-hot having won seven of his last eight starts (7-0-1). He will face the Senators again tonight, making him a strong starting candidate.

Tuukka Rask
The Wild have recalled Zach Parise (back) form Iowa (AHL); still on long-term IR.

Parise recorded one assist in last night’s game with Iowa and that marked the end of his conditioning stint. Recalling Parise already means one of two things: 1) he felt great and could join the Wild lineup soon. 2) it didn’t go well and he needs more time and that is why he’s still on LTIR.

Zach Parise
Lundqvist will start Friday in Detroit.

Lundqvist allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Rangers loss to the Maple Leafs before the Christmas break. Lundqvist has lost two in a row but has won three of his last five with a 2.16 GAA and .944 SV%. He stopped 40 of 41 shots in a 2-1 OT win in his first start vs. the Red Wings this season.

Henrik Lundqvist
Dubnyk will start Friday vs. the Predators.

Dubnyk stopped all 10 shots that he faced prior to getting hurt in the Wild’s December 12th game vs. the Flames. He went on to miss six games before backing up Alex Stalock vs. Dallas on Wednesday. Dubnyk has gone 7-2-2 with a 2.30 GAA and .927 SV% in 12 home starts this season and is 4-0-0 vs. the Predators dating back to last season.

Devan Dubnyk
Hellebuyck likely start Friday vs. the Islanders.
