The Jets have recalled Julian Melchiori from Manitoba (AHL).

Julian Melchiori
The Jets have placed Dustin Byfuglien (lower-body) on IR.

Byfuglien was listed as week-to-week so his move to IR simply opens up a roster spot to recall an insurance defenseman. Julian Melchiori was brought up to be their seventh blueliner. There’s no firm timetable on when Byfuglien is expected to return.

Dustin Byfuglien
Holtby will start Thursday in Boston.

Holtby allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Capitals win over the Avalanche on Tuesday. It was a nice outing for Holtby, who was pulled the night before. Holtby has gone 4-1-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .914 SV% in his last five starts. In his first start against the Bruins, Holtby stopped 31 of 33 shots in a 3-2 win in early-November.

The Wild have recalled Steve Michalek from Iowa (AHL).

Michalek has gone 6-1-0 with a 2.52 GAA and .926 sV% in nine games with Iowa this season. With Devan Dubnyk out week-to-week- with a lower-body injury, the Wild needed a goalie to serve as Alex Stalock’s backup on Thursday.

Steve Michalek
Dubnyk is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Dubnyk stopped all 10 shots that he faced in the first period of Tuesday’s win over the Flames. Dubnyk did not return for the second period and after undergoing an MRI on Wednesday, the Wild announced that Dubnyk will miss multiple weeks. With their No.1 listed as “week-to-week,” the Wild will turn the keys over to Alex Stalock and have recalled Steve Michalek to serve as his backup on Thursday.

Devan Dubnyk
Stalock will start Thursday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Stalock stopped 16 of 17 shots after replacing Devan Dubnyk (lower-body) in Tuesday’s win over the Flames. With Dubnyk expected to miss at least Thursday’s game, Stalock will face the Maple Leafs as he looks for his third straight win. Stalock has gone 2-1-0 with a 1.80 GAA and .924 SV% in three appearances at Xcel Energy Center.

Alex Stalock
Elliott will start Thursday vs. the Sabres.

Elliott stopped 20 of 22 shots in the Flyers’ win over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Elliott has been great recently, winning four in a row with a 1.75 GAA and .946 SV%. Tonight he draws a great matchup with the Sabres in town—Elliott is 4-3-3 with a 2.88 GAA and .901 SV% on home his this season.

Brian Elliott
Allen will start Thursday vs. the Ducks.

Allen stopped 22 of 24 shots in the Blues loss to the Lightning on Tuesday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Allen, who will go again tonight vs.the Ducks. Allen is an impressive 10-4-0 with a 2.34 GAA and .919 SV% on home ice this season, but allowed three goals on 30 shots in a 3-2 loss in his first start against the Ducks.

Jake Allen
Stalock will likely start Thursday with Devan Dubnyk expected to be out.

Hellebuyck will start Thursday vs. the Blackhawks.

Hellebuyck allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Jets win over the Canucks on Monday. Hellebuyck has lost three of his last six games while posting a 2.82 GAA and .896 SV% but he doesn’t appear to be in any danger of losing playing time. The 24-year-old is a ridiculous 11-0-1 in 13 appearances on home ice, posting a 2.09 GAA and .930 SV% in the process.

Connor Hellebuyck
Rinne leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Pekka Rinne
Howard led the Red Wings onto the ice for warmups.

Howard allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Red Wings’ overtime loss to the Panthers on Monday. After brutal outing vs. the Blues, it was a nice bounce-back game for Howard but he has just one win since mid-November. With the Red Wings running ice-cold and the Bruins in town as winners of eight of their last 10, leave Howard on the bench tonight.

Jimmy Howard
Lundqvist will start Wednesday in Ottawa.

Lundqvist stopped 26 of 28 shots in the Rangers win over the Devils last Saturday. Ondrej Pavelec started on Monday, so King Henrik comes into tonight will rested face an Ottawa team on a back-to-back.
