Bishop has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but his return to the ice on Monday is a good sign that Bishop could be back this week. The Stars have a back-to-back on Tuesday/Wednesday, so a return on Wednesday would be ideal, so Anton Khudobin doesn’t have to start two nights in a row.

McElhinney stopped 34 of 35 shots in the Hurricanes win over the Panthers last Friday. Scott Darling started the second game of the back-to-back but they’ll come back to McElhinney on full rest on Tuesday. The veteran netminder is riding a three-game winning streak, stopping 97 of the 101 shots (.960 SV%) that he’s faced in the process.

Borowiecki will miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury, which means Ben Harpur will remain in the lineup. Borowiecki is day-to-day and is questionable to Tuesday’s game in Philadelphia as well.

The 30-year-old netminder has put a poor start way behind him and is back in must-start territory. He stopped 23 of 24 shots after replacing Joonas Korpisalo in their last meeting with the Red Wings.

White missed Friday’s game in Dallas with an undisclosed injury but will return to the Senators lineup on Monday. White has enjoyed a quality season, picking up seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 22 games. White will skate on the second line with Brady Tkachuk and Mark Stone.

Kuraly has played in all 23 games so far this season but is expected to be replaced by Anders Bjork on Monday. Kuraly has just four points (1G / 3A), 38 shots and 15 PIMS this season.

Bjork was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Sean Kuraly on Monday. Bjork, who has one goal and two assists in 19 games this season, will skate on the third line with Joakim Nordstrom and Noel Acciari.

Martin has missed the last 10 games with an upper-body injury but head coach Barry Trotz said: “there’s a chance” that he plays Monday. Martin doesn’t bring a lot of offense to the Islanders lineup, having registered just three goals and one assist in 11 games.

Andersen allowed four goals on 24 shots in the Maple Leafs 4-2 loss in Columbus on Friday. Surprisingly, Andersen has lost two games in a row, which ties his longest losing streak of the season. Both of those losses came on the road and now he returns to Scotiabank Arena where he is 5-5-0 with a 2.03 GAA and .936 SV% in 10 starts this season.

Halak allowed one goal on 37 shots in the Bruins win over the Penguins on Friday. Halak has won two in a row while turning aside 68 of 70 shots (.971 SV%) and is now 4-2-0 with a 2.45 GAA and .931 SV% in November. In his first start against the Maple Leafs, Halak stopped 40 of 41 shots in a 5-1 win on November 11th.

Ericsson missed nine games with an undisclosed injury but was available on Saturday. With the Red Wings playing very well as of late, they will stick with the same lineup on Monday.

Frk was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Christoffer Ehn vs. the Blue Jackets. Frk is mostly a power-play specialist and has just one goal and one assist in 12 games this season.

Zaitsev missed the Maple Leafs morning skate due to an illness but head coach Mike Babcock expects him to play vs. the Bruins. If Zaitsev doesn’t end up playing, look for Martin Marincin to re-enter the lineup. Zaitsev has just two assists and 18 shots on goal in 24 games this season.


Claesson has been in the lineup for eight straight games but played just 13:51 TOI on Saturday. Claesson will be replaced by Tony DeAngelo vs. the Senators.

DeAngelo was a healthy scratch on Saturday but will replace Frederik Claesson tonight vs. the Senators. DeAngelo has played very well this season, picking up eight points (2G / 6A) and 27 shots while playing 19:11 TOI/gm in 15 games.

Zuccarello remains sidelined with a nagging groin injury. Zuccarello returned to the lineup on Friday but was scratched on Saturday and will miss his second straight game on Monday. With Zuccarello out again, Tim Gettinger was recalled and will play his second NHL game.

Lundqvist allowed three goals on 45 shots in the Rangers loss in Philadelphia on Friday. The game would have been out of hand if it weren’t for Lundqvist, who faced 40-plus shots for the fifth time in 18 games. The 36-year-old has been impressive on a below-average team and draws a strong matchup with the Senators in town. Lundqvist is 7-3-0 with a 1.99 GAA and .937 SV% at Madison Square Garden.

Malgin missed Saturday’s game against the Blackhawks and the Panthers announced that he is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. With Malgin out, Dryden Hunt will play on the Panthers’ third line.
