
Holtby allowed one goal on 31 shots in the Capitals win over the Wild on Saturday. It was a nice bounce-back performance for Holtby, who had allowed six goals in Nashville in his previous outing. The 28-year-old has been very impressive in November, going 6-1-0 with a 2.35 GAA and .924 SV% in six starts. Tonight he faces the Flames on home-ice, where he is 6-2-0 with a 1.61 GAA and .949 SV%.
Smith allowed four goals on 39 shots in the Flames win in Philadelphia on Saturday. Smith has gone 4-1-0 despite posting a 3.50 GAA and .897 SV% in six November starts. Tonight he faces the Capitals for the second time this season—he stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 2-1 win in his first start against Washington.
Raanta allowed two goals on 32 shots in the Coyotes’ win in Ottawa on Saturday. Raanta has won his last two starts, turning aside 63 of 69 shots (.913 SV%). He will have a tough time extending his winning streak to three, on the road in Toronto—he is 2-3-1 with a 3.70 GAA and .895 SV% outside of Arizona this season.
Dubnyk allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Wild’s win over the Predators on Thursday. Darcy Kuemper gave him the night off in Washington on Saturday, but they’ll come back to Dubnyk tonight vs. the Devils. The 31-year-old has gone 5-3-0 with a 1.97 GAA .938 SV% and three shutouts in November.
Lindgren allowed five goals on 27 shots in the Canadiens loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday. After winning three of his first four starts, Lindgren has now lost three straight while allowing a combined 12 goals on 84 shots (.857 SV%). He will face a Stars team that is 7-2-0 while averaging 3.56 goals for per game in Dallas.
Dubnyk allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Wild’s win over the Predators on Thursday. Darcy Kuemper gave him the night off in Washington on Saturday, but they’ll come back to Dubnyk tonight vs. the Devils. The 31-year-old has gone 5-3-0 with a 1.97 GAA .938 SV% and three shutouts in November.
Mckenna, 34, has gone 5-5-1 with a 3.51 GAA and .871 SV% in 12 games with Texas this season. McKenna will serve as the Stars No.2 netminder with Kari Lehtonen out due to personal reasons. McKenna has appeared in 22 career NHL gams, posting a 3.48 GAA and .889 SV%.
There’s no word why Lehtonen is away from the team or how long he will be gone but Mike McKenna has been recalled to serve as Ben Bishop’s backup for the time being.
Price has missed the last eight games with the lower-body injury but could return to the crease on Wednesday. Charlie Lindgren will start on Tuesday, but monitor Price’s status heading into Wednesday’s game in Nashville.
Lindback came up to be Pekka Rinne’ backup for a few games so Juuse Saros could get games in with Milwaukee. Lindback returns to the AHL where he has gone 8-3-0 with a 2.46 GAA and .918 SV% in 11 games this season.
The Predators sent Saros down over the weekend to get him a few starts because he has sat as Pekka Rinne’s backup for the majority of the season so far. The 22-year-old, who has struggled his four NHL appearance so far, didn’t fare much better in the AHL, giving up seven goals on 52 shots (.912 SV%). Saros is still a developing, young goalie with a bright future ahead of him, but until he turns it around this season he is better left on the waiver wire.
Aberg was with the Admirals on a conditioning stint and ripped it up, collecting four goals and two assists in six AHL games. He return to the Predators, where he has picked up two helpers in nine contests so far in 2017-18.
