Murray allowed four goals on 28 shots in the Penguins’ loss in Philadelphia on Wednesday. It was an ugly game for the entire team and it looks like Murray will go tonight vs. the Devils. Murray is 3-1-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .907 SV% in March and won his only start against the Devils this season.

Elliott allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Flames’ win over the Penguins on Monday. Elliott missed Wednesday’s game with an illness, but will return to the crease tonight vs. the Stars. Elliott is on a nine-game winning streak having posted an impressive 1.74 GAA, .943 SV% and two shutouts in the process.
Fast (shoulder) will return to the Rangers’ lineup on Friday.
Fast has missed the last seven games with a shoulder injury, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Panthers. Fast has just 20 points (5G / 15A) in 59 games this season.
Hainsey is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
It is a terrible time to be a Penguins’ defenseman because they just can’t stay healthy. Hanse left Wednesday’s game in Philadelphia and did not return and is expected to miss at least a few weeks with an upper-body injury.
Malkin (upper-body) will not play on Friday.
Malkin missed the Penguins’ morning skate and will miss tonight’s contest with an upper-body injury. Head coach Mike Sullivan said that Malkin has been dealing with an upper-body injury “for a while” and that they will “know more soon.”
Benn left Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.
Benn decided to drop the mitts with 6-foot-7, 265 lbs. defenseman Nikita Tryamkin and was hurt in the tilt. Probably not the best idea to take on a monster and it forced Benn to miss the third period. With the Stars on a back-to-back, Benn is questionable for Friday’s game.
Hornqvist (concussion) will be a game-time decision on Friday.
Hornqvist has missed the last five games with a concussion, but says he is symptom-free and will be a game-time decision tonight. Hornqvist took part in the morning skate, so expect him to be in the lineup barring a setback this afternoon. He has 17 goals and 20 assists (37 points) in 58 games this season.
