Rask allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Bruins win over the Lightning on Thursday. Rask has won three in a row while allowing just five goals on 95 shots (.947 SV%). Rask is expected to start the next three games for Boston and comes into Saturday at 20-5-3 with a 2.24 GAA and .920 SV% on home ice.

Plekanec was a healthy scratch last night but will return to the Maple Leafs lineup tonight vs. the Jets. Plekanec has picked up just one assist in 13 games since joining the Maple Leafs before the trade deadline.

Tolvanen, 18, was the No.30 overall pick in last summer’s draft and joins the Predators after one year in the KHL. Tolvanen scored 21 goals with 17 assists (38 points) in 51 games with Jokerit—adding three goals in four playoff games. The rookie winger is expected to skate on the Predators top line with Ryan Johansen and Viktor Arvidsson.

Brassard did not take part in the Penguins’ morning skate and will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury. With Brassard out, Riley Sheahan will continue to skate on the third line.

Lyon went back to the AHL with Michal Neuvirth returning to the crease on Thursday. Neuvirth was re-injured almost immediately, so Lyon returns to backup Petr Mrazek.

Neuvirth stopped 10 of 11 shots before leaving the Flyers win in Colorado on Wednesday. Neuvirth’s health didn’t last long, getting hurt in his first game back. Alex Lyon was recalled to take Neuvirth’s spot on the roster.

Malgin is dealing with a minor injury, so he will not play in Boston. Michael Haley will draw back into the lineup to replace Malgin.
