Murray stopped all 27 shots that he faced in the Penguins’ shutout win in Vancouver on Saturday. Marc-Andre Fleury started two of the last three games, but Murray will go tonight as he looks for his third consecutive win. Murray made 36 saves in a 4-2 win in his last start vs. the Flyers.
Quenneville, 20. appeared in two games with the Devils this season but has spent most of the season with Albany. In 53 AHL games, Quenneville has 12 goals and 29 assists (41 points).
Manning took the ice for the Flyers’ morning skate, but will not play tonight vs. the Penguins. Manning is day-to-day, which leaves him as doubtful for tomorrow’s game in New Jersey.
Mason allowed four goals on 28 shots in the Flyers’ loss to the Blue Jackets on Monday. Mason will start for the seventh time in eight games after going 3-2-1 with a 1.97 GAA, .935 SV% and one shutout in the previous six. Tonight he faces the Penguins for the second time—he was pulled after allowing three goals on 13 shots in his first start vs. Pittsburgh.
Niemi allowed two goals on 18 shots after replacing Kari Lehtonen in the Stars’ loss in San Jose on Sunday. Niemi has allowed a combined nine goals on the last 56 shots that he has faced (.839 SV%). Niemi is 2-6-2 with a 4.21 GAA and .870 SV% on the road this season, so be cautious with the veteran tonight in Edmonton.
Andersen allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Maple Leafs’ win in Carolina on Sunday. Andersen has won three in a row while posting a 1.98 GAA and .940 SV% and will be making his fourth consecutive start tonight. He is 3-0-0 with a 1.62 GAA and .952 SV% in three starts vs. the Panthers this season.
Khudobin allowed two goals on 17 shots in the Bruins’ win over the Devils on March 4th. Khudobin has won his last three starts while allowing just six goals on 77 shots (.922 SV%). Khudobin will start the front-end of the Bruins back-to-back tonight in Calgary—the Flames come in on a franchise-high 10-game winning streak.
Lindholm, 22, will make his NHL debut vs. the Red Wings on Wednesday. The former fifth round pick (No.144 overall in 2014) has 12 points (2G / 10A) in 59 AHL games this season and will make his debut paired with veteran Francois Beauchemin.
Howard allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Red Wings’ win vs. the Blackhawks last Friday. It was a strong return to the crease for Howard, who has had a really strong, but injury filed season. Tonight he is a must-start in Colorado against the NHL’s worst team. Howie has gone 3-2-0 with a 2.21 GAA and .926 SV% on the road.
Pickard allowed one goal on 35 shots in Colorado’s loss in Arizona on Monday. It was a strong performance, but the Avalanche couldn’t solve Mike Smith at the other end. He will make his fifth straight start tonight vs. the Red Wings—Pickard has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .933 SV%.
Bishop allowed four goals on 21 shots in the Kings loss to Vancouver on March 4th. Jonathan Quick starts the last three games, but Bishop will make his third start with Los Angeles tonight. He is still searching for his first win with the Kings—he has allowed a combined six goals on 51 shots (.882 SV%) in his first two starts.
Lehner stopped all 24 shots that he faced after replacing Anders Nilsson in the Sabres’ come-from-behind win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Lehner has gone 2-2-1 with a 2.97 GAA and .905 SV% in his last five starts and draws a tough matchup tonight in San Jose.
