The Penguins have acquired Danny Kristo and a 2017 2nd round pick from the Penguins in exchange for Ron Hainsey.

Kristo, 26, was a second round pick in 2008 (56th overall), but has never appeared in an NHL game. He has had three straight seasons of 20-plus goals and 40-plus assists in the AHL and has registered six goals and seven assists (13 points) in 40 games this season.

Danny Kristo
Bishop will likely start Thursday vs. the Flames.

Bishop allowed one goal on 21 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Oilers on Tuesday. Bishop has been excellent as of late—he comes into Thursday on a five-game winning streak having allowed just six goals on 127 shots (.953 SV%) with one shutout. He allowed three goals on 22 shots in a 6-3 win in his first start vs. Calgary.

Ben Bishop
Greiss will start Thursday in Montreal.

Greiss allowed one goal on 27 shots in the Islanders’ win in Detroit on Tuesday. The win moved Greiss to 4-4-0 with a 3.31 GAA and .884 SV% in February. Tonight he will take on the Canadiens for the third time this season. He has played well in the first two meetings, going 1-1-0 with a 2.03 GAA and .922 SV%.

Thomas Greiss
Drouin (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Drouin has been battling the flu for a few weeks, but hasn’t missed any games. He was absent for Wednesday’s practice and is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game. It’s unclear whether it is the illness or something else that is bothering Drouin, but monitor his status during warmups at 7:00p.m. ET.

Jonathan Drouin
The Penguins have acquired Ron Hainsey from the Hurricanes in exchange for a 2017 2nd round pick and Danny Kristo.

Hainsey is a mobile, veteran defenseman, who has scored four goals with 10 assists (14 points) in 56 games this season. He could make his Penguins debut in the outdoor game on Saturday. The injuries to Trevor Daley, Olli Maatta and Kris Letang necessitated this move for the Penguins.

Ron Hainsey
Marchenko will make his Maple Leafs debut on Thursday.

Marchenko has not appeared in a game since being claimed off of waivers from Detroit on February 4th, but he’ll be paired with Jake Gardiner tonight vs. the Rangers. Marchenko had six assists in 30 games with the Red Wings before being waived.

Alexey Marchenko
Andersen is in the starter's crease this morning.

Andersen gave up four goals on 20 shots in the Maple Leafs’ 5-4 OT win over the Jets on Tuesday. It was an ugly performance for Andersen, but was enough to walk away with his 24th win of the season. He is 1-1-0 with a 3.02 GAA and .921 SV% vs. the Rangers and comes into play having allowed three-plus goals in seven of his last nine starts.

Frederik Andersen
Khudobin will likely start Thursday in Los Angeles.

Khudobin allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Bruins’ win over the Canucks on February 11th. Khudobin has had a tough season at the NHL level, but tonight he takes on a Kings team that has lost five of their last seven games. Khudobin is 2-5-1 with a 3.05 GAA and .888 SV% in nine appearances and is a risky option regardless of his matchup.

Anton Khudobin
Rask leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask allowed one goals on 30 shots in the Bruins’ win in San Jose on Saturday. Rask has won three straight games while posting an impressive 1.32 GAA, .951 SV% and one shutout. Tonight, he is expected to face Anaheim for the first time this season—Rask has gone 15-6-4 with a 2.12 GAA and .922 SV% on the road so far this season.

Tuukka Rask
Gibson is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Gibson was expected to start on Wednesday after finishing Monday's game with 14 saves in relief, but he is now day-to-day with a mysterious lower-body injury. With Gibson sidelined, Jonathan Bernier will get the nod and Jhonas Enroth has been recalled to be his backup.

John Gibson
Bernier leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

With John Gibson day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Bernier will start for a second straight game, despite being yanked after a terrible outing on Monday. Bernier was pulled after allowing three gaols on six shots in a loss in Arizona and now carries a 2.93 GAA and .901 SV% in 22 appearances this season.

Jonathan Bernier
Beleskey will be back in the Bruins lineup on Wednesday.

Beleskey has been a healthy scratch in two of the last three games, but will draw back in against his former team tonight. Beleskey has just seven points (2G / 5A) in 33 games this season after scored 15 goals and 22 assists (37 points) a year ago.
