The 22-year-old has been excellent as Tampa Bay’s No.1 and tonight he faces the Wild for the second time—he stopped 37 of 38 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss in the first meeting.
Bernier allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Ducks’ shootout win over the Predators on Tuesday. Bernier has won three of his last six outings with John Gibson sidelined, while posting a 2.93 GAA and .901 SV% in the process. Tonight he will take on a Blackhawks team that has won seven in a row and who are great on home ice.
Greiss allowed a single goal on 28 shots in the Islanders; win in Edmonton on Tuesday. Greiss has gone 2-2-1 while allowing a combined 13 goals on 122 shots (.893 SV%) in his last five outings. Tonight he will make his first start against the Canucks—he has gone 10-9-3 with a 2.63 GAA And .917 SV% on the road this season.
Ward allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Hurricanes’ loss to the Coyotes last Friday. Eddie Lack started the last two games, but Ward will start tonight vs. the Rangers. Ward is riding a six-game losing streak while posting a 3.21 GAA and .883 SV%. The veteran is also 1-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .902 SV% against the Rangers this season.
Condon allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Senators loss in Tampa Bay on February 27th. Craig Anderson started the last four games, including last night, so Condon will start tonight in Arizona. Condon has taken the “L” in three of his last five starts while giving up a combined 14 goals on 133 shots (.895 SV%). The Coyotes have lost three of their last four.
Holtby was pulled after he allowed three goals on 11 shots in the Capitals’ loss to Dallas on Monday. It is a rarity for Holtby to get pulled, so expect an inspired performance from him in San Jose. The 27-year-old has gone 12-3-4 with a 2.17 GAA and .928 SV% on the road this season.
Price stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Canadiens’ win in Vancouver on Tuesday. Price has won five straight games while posting a 0.98 GAA, .964 SV% and one shutout. He is one of the hottest goalies on the circuit right now and tonight he will face the Flames’ for the second time this season—he stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 5-1 win in the first meeting.
Miller allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Canucks’ 2-1 overtime loss to Montreal on Tuesday. Miller has lost five of his last six starts while posting a 3.00 GAA and .908 SV%. Tonight he will try and avoid a repeat performance from the first time he faced the Islanders—he allowed four goals on 32 shots in a 4-2 loss back in November.
Smith allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Coyotes’ loss to the Hurricanes on Sunday. Smith has lost four straight games while posting an ugly 4.41 GAA and .863 SV%. Tonight he will face a Senators team that is playing really well on home ice where he has gone 10-11-3 with a 2.87 GAA And .916 SV% this season.
