Rask was the first goalie off of the ice.
Rask allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Bruins’ win over the Penguins last Thursday. He has won two in a row despite allowing three goals in each start and allowing three-plus goals in six of his last eight starts. Tonight will be his third start vs. the Lightning—he has gone 2-0-0 with a 1.92 GAA and .934 SV% in the first two meetings.
Goalie Start
Ward will start Tuesday vs. the Flyers.
Ward allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Hurricanes’ loss to the Kings last Thursday. Ward has lost four consecutive games while posting an ugly 5.47 GAA and .832 SV%. Tonight he will make his 42nd start of the season and second versus the Flyers—he allowed four goals on 28 shots in a 4-3 loss back in October.

Mason will start Tuesday in Carolina.
Mason stopped all 34 shots that he faced in the Flyers’ shutout win in New York last Wednesday. Michal Neuvirth started on Thursday, but Mason will go again tonight in Carolina. He appears to have turned a corner having stopped 70 of the last 72 shots (.972 SV%) he has faced en route to two straight victories.

Lundqvist will start Tuesday vs. the Blue Jackets.
Lundqvist allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Rangers’ loss to the Flyers last Wednesday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Lundqvist, who has found his stride again. Over his last four starts, Lundqvist has given up just six goals on 110 shots (.946 SV%). He has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.53 GAA and .883 SV% vs. the Blue Jackets this season.

Korpisalo will start Tuesday in New York.
Korpisalo stopped all five shots that he faced after replacing Sergei Bobrovsky in the Blue Jackets’ loss in Brooklyn last Tuesday. Korpisalo has gone 2-1-0 with a 3.43 GAA and .893 SV% in four games since being called up. He draws a terrible matchup vs. a high-scoring Rangers team that has won three of their last four.

Schneider has gone 4-3-2 with a 2.09 GAA and .931 SV% in 10 games in January and tonight he makes his second start vs. Detroit. He was shelled for five goals on 33 shots in an OT loss in the first meeting.
Carlson (lower-body) will return to the Capitals lineup on Tuesday.
Carlson missed the last six games with a lower-body injury, but will return to the lineup tonight in Brooklyn. Carlson will be on the top pair with Karl Alzner, but won’t return to the top power play. He has 25 points (5G / 20A) in 43 games this season.

The Red Wings have sent Drew Miller to Grand Rapids (AHL).
Miller cleared waivers last week, but stayed with the team because Dylan Larkin got hurt, but with Larkin returning to the lineup tonight, Miller heads to Grand Rapids.

Lehtonen will start Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.
Lehtonen allowed a single goal on 22 shots in the Stars’ win over the Sabres last Thursday. It was Lehtonen’s 10th win of the season and his first since December 29th vs. the Avalanche. The veteran netminder has gone 5-4-4 with a 2.56 GAA and .914 SV% in 14 games on home-ice and will be in tough vs. Toronto tonight.

Lehner will start Tuesday in Montreal.
Lehner allowed four goals on 39 shots in the Sabres’ win in Nashville on Tuesday. Anders Nilsson started on Thursday, but they’ll go back with Lehner tonight in Montreal. Lehner has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.81 GAA and .920 SV%. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .903 SV% in his first two starts vs. the Canadiens.

Coreau will start Tuesday vs. the Devils.
Coreau allowed four goals on 49 shots in the Red Wings’ overtime loss in Boston last Tuesday. Petr Mrazek started on Wednesday, but the Red Wings are expected to come back to Coreau tonight vs. the Devils. Coreau has gone 2-0-1 with a 2.20 GAA and .908 SV% in four starts at Joe Louis Arena.
Point (upper-body) took part in the morning skate; expected to return on Tuesday.
Point has been out since December 28th, but could be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. Point took part in Monday’s practice and took part in line rushes this morning, both suggests that he will play tonight. Consider him a game-time decision.
Line Change
Clendening will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday.
Clendening has one goal and seven assists (eight points) in 18 games with the Rangers this season, but will be scratched tonight with Marc Staal (concussion) ready to return to the lineup tonight.

Lindberg will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday.
Lindberg has appeared in the last four games, but will be replaced by Jesper Fast in the lineup tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. Lindberg has had a tough season, collecting just seven points (1G / 6A) in 33 games this season.

Fast has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury, but will replace Oscar Lindberg in the lineup on Tuesday. Fast has three goals and 12 assists (15 points) in 45 games this season.
Staal (concussion) will return to the Rangers lineup on Tuesday.
Staal has been out with a concussion since January 3rd, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. Staal has just three goals and three assists (six points) in 40 games this season and will replace Adam Clendening in the lineup.
Larkin (upper-body) has been cleared to play Tuesday vs. the Devils.
Larkin missed the final two games before the All-Star break, but has been cleared to return to the lineup tonight vs. the Devils. Larkin has 12 goals and six assists (18 points) in 47 games this season and the Red Wings have sent Drew Miller to Grand Rapids (AHL) to make room for him.
