Quick got lit up for four goals on just 20 shots in the Kings 7-3 loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday. Quick has won just two of his last nine starts and has lost some playing time to backup Darcy Kuemper. It’s unlikely to get any better for Quick against the Penguins tonight, who lead the league in goals scored since the turn of the calendar year.

Lehner had a rough start on Sunday vs. the Avalanche, allowing five goals on just 27 shots (.815 SV%). He was benched in favour of Chad Johnson on Tuesday, who normally only plays on back-to-backs. Tonight’s matchup against the Senators provides a nice opportunity for a bounceback game for Lehner, who has just one win in his last five starts.

Kinkaid got the win against the Flyers on Tuesday despite allowing four goals on 35 shots (.886 SV%). The game ended a three-game losing streak for Kinkaid, who hasn’t posted a SV% greater than .900 in a start since February 3rd in Pittsburgh. Despite his struggles, he draws a decent matchup tonight against the Hurricanes.

Anderson played well in relief of Mike Condon vs. the Penguins on Tuesday, allowing just one goal on 18 shots (.944 SV%). He’s performed well over his last seven games, posting a .921 SV% over that span. He makes for an intriguing play tonight in an enticing matchup against the Eichel-less Sabres.



Dubnyk turned in another strong performance on Tuesday, stopping 32 of 34 shots (.941 SV%) en route to a 3-2 victory over the Rangers. He’s been especially good across his last four starts, posting a 3-1 record and a .948 SV%. He draws a tougher matchup tonight at home against the Capitals.

Carter has been out since October after having surgery to repair a cut on his ankle. It's encouraging to hear he might be practicing with the team again soon, but given that they haven't even finalized that timeline yet, it's best to consider him week-to-week for now.

Vasilevskiy struggled against Toronto on Monday, allowing four goals on just 23 shots (.826 SV%). Despite the loss, he’s had a strong start to the month of February, with a 4-2 record to show for it. He draws one of the top matchups of the night against Detroit.

Murray stopped 30 of 33 shots in the Penguins’ 6-3 victory over the Senators on Tuesday. The Penguins don’t need Murray to play particularly well right now; they’ve scored 4.42 goals per game over their last seven. In that same seven-game stretch, Murray has gone 5-0-1 with a mediocre .916 SV%. He and the Penguins draw a tough matchup tonight in the Kings.

Rittich failed to impress in his first start in the absence of Mike Smith, allowing four goals on 39 shots (.897) in a losing effort to the Bruins. Despite his disappointing night on Tuesday, Rittich has been a formidable backup this season (2.23 GAA/.926 SV%), and should continue to see a starter’s workload so long as Smith is out. He’ll be in tough to turn it around tonight in Nashville.


The Sens were in need of some depth on the blueline after trading Dion Phaneuf. Harpur has just one point in 20 games with the Sens this season.

After back-to-back strong performances against Calgary and Winnipeg, Lundqvist allowed three goals on just 29 shots (.897 SV%) in Tuesday’s loss to the Wild. Lundqvist has struggled in the month of February, posting a 2-5 record and a .897 SV%. He will be in tough to turn it around tonight against the high-scoring Isles.
