McKenna becomes the Senators primary backup after being called up to replace Mike Condon, who was placed on waivers on Wednesday. McKenna has gone 3-3-0 with a 2.72 GAA and .914 SV% in six games with Belleville this season. During stops with the Lightning, Devils, Blue Jackets, Coyotes and Stars, McKenna has amassed a 6-12-2 record with a 3.44 GAA and .889 SV% in 24 career NHL games.

Head coach Bob Boughner said that Luongo is “close” to returning but it is still unlikely that he starts a game in Finland. Look for Luongo to be ready when the Panthers return home to face the Oilers next Thursday.

Over the last two seasons, Gunnarsson has just 15 points (5G / 10A) while averaging less than 15 minutes per game in 119 games with St. Louis.

Fabbri missed the first 10 games of the season, but is expected to make his season debut on Thursday. Fabbri skated on the fourth line in Wednesday’s practice, suggesting that the Blues will ease him back into the lineup in what will be his first game since February 4th, 2017. The 2014 No.21 overall pick has provided 29 goals and 37 assists (66 points) while averaging just 14:16 TOI/GM in the first 123 games of his NHL career.

Quick already missed five games this season with a lower-body injury and will now miss at least a couple of months following surgery to repair a torn meniscus. This is the second major injury that Quick has suffered in the last three seasons. The Kings will turn to a goaltending duo of Jack Campbell and Peter Budaj for the foreseeable future.

Kruger’s status for Wednesday’s game is in up in the air. Head coach Joel Quenneville said that “we’ll see” if Kruger will be in the lineup. The fourth-line centre has just two goals while averaging 11:55 TOI/GM in his first 12 games of the season.

Steel has struggled in the early part of the season, scoring just one goal with two assists in 13 games with the Ducks. He’ll head to the AHL for the first time in his career.

Sherwood has two goals and two assists (four points) in 12 games with the Ducks this season. Sherwood did not appear in a game with San Diego and is expected to take Sam Steel’s spot on the roster.

Kossila has registered three goals in in two games with San Diego this season. The 25-year-old has two points (1G / 1A) in 11 career NHL games.

Luongo is closing in on a return from a knee injury that he suffered in the season opener, but will miss at least the next two games. Head coach Bob Boughner said the plan for Luongo is to “play next week when we get home.” Look for Reimer to start Thursday and potentially Michael Hutchinson on Friday.

Radulov returned to the Stars lineup on Tuesday after missing the four previous games, but it looks like he’ll come back out on Thursday.If Radulov can’t play, Tyler Pitlick will likely draw back in.

Hicketts has been a healthy scratch for the last three games and failed to a record a point in his first eight games with the Red Wings. Hicketts heads back to the AHL, where he had 12 points (3G / 9A) in 67 games last year.

Megan has two goals and two assists (four points) in eight games with the Griffins so far this season. With both Frans Nielsen and Andreas Athanasiou out, the Red Wings are very thin down the middle. The 28-year-old centre has one goal in four career NHL games.

Robin Lehner is doubtful for Thursday’s game after leaving Tuesday’s contest with an injury. Gibson will likely back-up Thomas Greiss and comes up after going 3-3-0 with a 4.21 GAA and .861 SV% in six AHL games.
