Seguin has not played since suffering a torn ACL at the beginning of December and will be out indefinitely after undergoing surgery. It's all but certain that Seguin's season is over, but the team will reevaluate him to see if returning in the postseason is a viable option. The 33-year-old Seguin was off to a decent start to the 2025-26 season, scoring 17 points (7G / 10A) in 27 games, but, unfortunately, has become familiar with seasons being cut short by injuries. Seguin missed 62 games due to injury in 2024-25.

Chabot has only played one game in the last five weeks, but has practiced the last several days and anticipates returning to the lineup on Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 28-year-old Chabot is averaging 21:55 time-on-ice and has 10 points (2G / 8A) in 18 games this season. Chabot played 80 games last season, unfortunately, an irregularity for the talented defenseman who has had trouble staying healthy in recent seasons.

Barzal is likely battling a nagging injury, as he was a game-time decision earlier this week as well, despite still drawing into the lineup. The 28-year-old Barzal is riding a five-game point streak, scoring five points (1G / 4A), and hopes he will be able to suit up again on Friday against the Vancouver Canucks.

The Panthers are riding a three-game winning streak and have been receiving solid netminding from Bobrovsky, who will return to the crease on Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 37-year-old Bobrovsky has been inconsistent this season, but has an impressive 1.75 GAA and .932 SV% in his last three games (3-0-0). The Panthers enter the action on Friday as +117 home underdogs against a Hurricanes team on a five-game winning streak.

Just one week after acquiring Jarry in a trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Oilers are already facing a scare in the crease after he left Thursday's 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins late in the second period. If Jarry misses any time, expect Calvin Pickard to occupy the Oilers' crease. Expect the Oilers to provide an update on Jarry before they return to the ice on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild.

The Kraken will hand the reigns to Daccord for the 21st time this season when they host the Stars on Thursday. Daccord's last start came on Sunday and he was unfortunate to be tagged with the loss despite allowing just two goals on 22 shots, as the Kraken fell to the Sabres by a score of 3-1. The 29-year-old netminder carries an 8-8-4 record and .893 SV% into Thursday night's matchup, where the Kraken enter action at +175 on the money line.

Perreault will slot into the lineup in place of Artemi Panarin, who is out with an illness. The 20-year-old Perreault recorded one assists in three games with the Rangers earlier this season, but has spent most of the campaign in the AHL, where he has 17 points (10G / 7A) in 20 games with Hartford.

The Rangers will be without Panarin for Thursday's game due to an illness. After an uncharacteristically slow start to the season, with seven points (2G / 5A) in his first 14 games, Panarin has returned to his elite point-producing form in recent weeks, with 27 points (9G / 18A) in his last 21 games.

The Rangers are amazingly coming off being shutout for the seventh time in 17 home games (4-10-3), but return to the road, where they have thrived this season (12-5-1). Shesterkin has allowed three or more goals in four straight games (1-2-1), posting a 3.30 GAA and .881 SV%, and hopes to return to the elite form that justified him becoming the highest-paid goalie in NHL history. The 29-year-old Shesterkin has a 2.55 GAA and .908 SV% in 27 games this season (13-11-3). The Rangers enter Thursday's contest as -131 road favorites against a Blue team that played last night, defeating the Winnipeg Jets 1-0.

The Sabres' three-goalie rotation is, at least temporarily, down to two with Colten Ellis (concussion) sidelined. As such, Lyon will return to the crease on Thursday against the Philadelphia Flyers. It's unclear whether van Riemsdyk is dealing with an undisclosed injury or simply a healthy scratch. Declan Chisholm will draw into the lineup in his place.

Chisholm will slot in for Trevor van Riemsdyk, who was a surprise scratch on Thursday. Chisholm will start the game with Rasmus Sandin on Washington's third pair.

Trineyev will slot in for Hendrix Lapierre (undisclosed). He'll skate with Nic Dowd and Brandon Duhaime on Washington's fourth line.

Lapierre was a surprise scratch on Thursday, with the Capitals not announcing his absence prior to warmups. Bogdan Trineyev will play in his place.
