Boyd, 24, failed to record a point in two games with the Capitals and returns to Hershey where he has 20 points (3G / 17A) in 23 games. Boyd’s return suggests that Andre Burakovsky will be back in the lineup on Friday.
McKenna has gone 6-5-1 with a 3.53 GAA and .871 SV% in 13 games with Texas this season. McKenna has been recalled to serve as Kari Lehtonen’s backup tonight because Ben Bishop is out with a sore back.

His movement to injured reserve means that Schultz will miss at least the next three games and is not eligible to return until next Thursday in Vegas. Frank Corrado has been recalled to take Schultz’s spot on the roster.

Forsberg allowed one goal on 22 shots in the Blackhawks 3-1 loss to the Kings on Sunday. Since taking over for Corey Crawford, Forsberg has stopped 54 of 57 shots () but has yet to record a win. The 25-year-old has gone 1-2-2 with a 3.67 GAA and .898 SV% on the road this season.

Holtby gave up three goals on 35 shots in the Capitals win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Holtby has won four of his last six starts while posting a 2.52 GAA and .921 SV%. Tonight he will make his 21st start of the season and his 13 at the Capital One Arena, where he has gone 8-4-0 with a 2.08 GAA and .935 SV% this season.

Bishop did not travel with the team to St. Louis, so Lehtonen will be the Stars No.1 option in the short-term. In his first start against the Blues, Lehtonen allowed four goals on 21 shots in a 4-2 loss.
