Motte, 21, has scored four goals with three assists in 32 games with the Blackhawks this season. Motte started the year with the Blackhawks, so he heads to Rockford for the first time this season. He had five points (2G / 3A) in five AHL games a season ago.

The Hurricanes have recalled Daniel Altshuller from Charlotte (AHL).

Altshuller, 22, has gone 1-2-0 with a 3.44 GAA and .884 SV% in three games with Charlotte this season. With Eddie Lack battling a concussion, Altshuller has been recalled and is expected to be Cam Ward’s backup tonight.

Lack has been diagnosed with a concussion; will not dress on Tuesday.

Lack has not appeared in a game since November 10th because of a concussion, but was said to be cleared and close to a return, but it sounds like he suffered another concussion and will be sidelined indefinitely again. Daniel Altshuller has been recalled from Charlotte (AHL).

Eddie Lack
Faulk (lower-body) not expected to play Tuesday; could play by then end of the week.

Faulk has missed the last three games and is expected to miss his fourth consecutive game on Tuesday. Faulk’s loss is huge for the Hurricanes, so potentially getting him back at the end of the week is huge news for the Canes and Faulk owners alike.

Justin Faulk
Lindholm (upper-body) is questionable to play Tuesday vs. New Jersey.

Lindholm missed Saturday’s game in Tampa Bay, but head coach Bill Peters said Lindholm is “close” and could go through the morning skate on Tuesday. Lindholm has scored two goals with two assists in his last three games, but if he can’t go vs. the Devils tonight, Andrej Nestrasil will remain on a line with Jordan Staal.

Elias Lindholm
Shaw (concussion) will not travel to Nashville.

Shaw has missed the last eight games with a concussion and will miss No.9 on Tuesday as he stays back in Montreal while the team travels to Nashville. He’s obviously expected to miss a 10th straight game on Wednesday as well.

Miller allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Canucks win over the Ducks last Thursday. Miller has won his last two starts while stopping 60 of 63 shots (.952 SV%). Miller hasn’t had the best season to date, but he’s playing well recently and draws a great matchup against an Avalanche team that has lost eight of their last nine games.

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled Anton Lander from Bakersfield (AHL).

Lander, 25, has had a tough time scoring in the NHL, but has lit up the AHL this season, picking up 10 goals and 11 assists (21 points) in 13 games with Bakersfield. He should draw into the lineup on Tuesday.

Crawford leads the Blackhawks onto the Winter Classic ice.

The Coyotes have claimed Alex Burmistrov off of waivers from Winnipeg.

Boucher started the year with the Devils, where he collected two assists in nine games before being put on waivers and being claimed by Nashville on December 3rd. He only appeared in three games with the Predators and recorded one goal. He returns to New Jersey, where he has 11 goals and 18 assists (20 points) in 82 games.

Reid Boucher
Price will start Tuesday in Nashville.

Price allowed four goals on 41 shots in the Canadiens’ loss in Pittsburgh on New Year’s Eve. Price has shockingly lost three in a row while allowing a combined 11 goals on 97 shots (.887 SV%). Price will look to get 2017 off to a good start tonight in Nashville—he has gone 4-2-2 with a 2.46 GAA and .918 SV% in eight road starts this season.

Carey Price
Zacha (healthy scratch) will be back in the Devils' lineup on Monday.

Zacha was a healthy scratch for the last two games, but will replace Jacob Josefson in the lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. Zacha’s offensive numbers leave little to be desired at this point in his career—he has collected just two goals and five assists in 30 games this season.
