Rask leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask allowed two goals on 20 shots in the Bruins loss in Los Angeles on Saturday. Despite missing yesterday’s practice with an illness, look for Rask to start tonight in New York. Rask is 4-2-2 with a 2.23 GAA and a .923 SV% in March and has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .912 SV% in his first two starts vs. the Rangers.

Tuukka Rask
Backstrom will start Thursday in Minnesota.

Backstrom stopped 21 of 22 shots in a win in Montreal in his Calgary Flames debut on Sunday. It was a strong outing for Backstrom, who was making his first start since January 13th, 2015. Tonight will be an ultra-special game for the 38-year-old, who will be making his return to Minnesota, where he played the first nine years of his NHL career. The Wild come in having won three in a row.

Niklas Backstrom
Luongo starts Thursday vs. the Bruins.

Luongo allowed four goals on 29 shots in the Panthers loss to the Red Wings on Saturday. Al Montoya started on Monday, so it is no surprise to see Luongo back in goal tonight in Boston. The Bruins are on the tail-end of a back-to-back, but Luongo has struggled in March, going 4-3-0 with a 3.12 GAA and .894 SV% and is winless (0-2-0) with a 3.97 GAA and .871 SV% in his first two starts against Boston.

Roberto Luongo
Wedgewood starts Thursday in Pittsburgh.

Wedgewood stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Devils win over the Blue Jackets on Sunday. It was an impressive NHL debut from the 23-year-old netminder, who will get a stiffer test tonight in Pittsburgh. Wedgewood was 9-2-3 with a 1.69 GAA and .928 SV% with Albany before he was recalled, but Pittsburgh comes in having won six consecutive games while averaging 4.00 goals per game.

Scott Wedgewood
Scrivens will start Thursday vs. the Red Wings.

Scrivens allowed five goals on 44 shots in the Canadiens loss in Ottawa last Saturday. Mike Condon started the last two games, but they’ll go back to Scrivens tonight in Detroit. Scrivens is 2-2-0 with a 3.21 GAA and .914 SV% in March and has really struggled on the road this season, going 1-6-0 with a 3.71 GAA and .891 SV% away from Montreal.

Ben Scrivens
Sparks will start Thursday vs. the Ducks.

Anaheim surprisingly comes into tonight having lost five of their last eight.

Garret Sparks
Subban (neck) will not play Thursday vs. the Red Wings.

Subban will miss his seventh consecutive game with a neck injury. He skated on Wednesday but will miss at least one more game. Monitor his status prior to Saturday’s game vs. the Rangers.

P.K. Subban
Hammond starts Wednesday in Brooklyn.

Hammond stopped all 30 shots that he faced in the Senators shutout win over the Habs on Saturday. Craig Anderson started last night, so Hammond will start on the back-to-back. Hammond has gone 2-2-2 with a 1.81 GAA and .944 SV% in March and tonight he’ll make his second start vs. the Islanders—he was torched for five goals on 34 shots in a 5-2 loss in the first meeting.

Andrew Hammond
Rask was the first goalie off of the ice at the Bruins morning skate.

Tuukka Rask
Fredrik Claesson has been recalled from Binghamton (AHL) and will be in the lineup on Wednesday.

Claesson, 23, was a fifth round pick (126th overall) in 2011 and has appeared in eight games with the Senators this season. He has spent the majority of the year with Binghamton, where he has 10 points (3G / 7A) in 55 games. He will replace Dion Phaneuf in the lineup tonight and until he can return from a lower-body injury he suffered last night.

Fredrik Claesson
Phaneuf (lower-body) will not play on Wednesday.

Phaneuf was hit hard by Capitals defenseman Brooks Orpik in the second period, but finished the period and did not come out for the third. Phaneuf will miss tonight’s game and there is no timetable for his return. With Phaneuf out, the Senators have recalled Fredrik Claesson from Binghamton (AHL).

Dion Phaneuf
Pulock will be in the Islanders lineup on Wednesday.

Pulock sat as a healthy scratch for the last two games, but will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Senators. Pulock had solid numbers in the AHL, producing 24 points (7G / 17A) in 51 games with Bridgeport, but has picked up just one goal in eight games with the Islanders. He will replace Brian Strait in the lineup.

Ryan Pulock
Berube will start Wednesday vs. the Senators.

Berube stood on his head on March 15th, stopping 33 of 34 shots in the Islanders’ shootout loss in Pittsburgh. It was an exceptional outing for Berube, who is now 1-1-1 with a 2.52 GAA and .924 SV% in three starts this season. Tonight he will take on a Senators team that is on the tail-end of a back-to-back and come in having lost five of their last eight.

Jean-Francois Berube
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick was pulled after allowing three goals on 27 shots in the the first two periods of last night’s loss to the Predators. Jonathan Quick
Dano (undisclosed) is expected to draw back into the Jets lineup on Tuesday.

Dano missed Sunday's game with an undisclosed injury, but skated on the second line in the Jets pre-game skate and is expected to return to the lineup vs. the Canucks tonight. Dano has three goals and two assists in his last six games.

Marko Dano

Dowd, 25, was a seventh round pick (198th overall) in 2009. He has collected 13 goals and 35 assists (48 points) in 57 games with Ontario this season. With Kris Versteeg out, he has been recalled for depth but could make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
