Smith will be between the pipes on Tuesday.

Smith was pulled after allowing three goals on 17 shots in the Coyotes’ 4-1 loss to the Rangers last Saturday. Anders Lindback got the start last night, Smith will start tonight in Los Angeles. Smith has been horrible recently—he has lost three of four while recording an ugly 5.20 GAA and .827 SV%.

Mike Smith
Quick was the first goalie off of the ice at the Kings morning skate.

Quick allowed one goal on 19 shots in the Kings win over Florida on Saturday. Quick will make his third straight start tonight vs. the Coyotes. Quick has won seven of his first 12 outings while posting a 2.24 GAA and .917 SV% this season. In his first start vs. Arizona, Quick allowed four goals on 22 shots in a 4-1 loss.

Jonathan Quick
Jones will start on Tuesday vs. the Islanders.

Jones gave up one goal on 17 shots in the Sharks 1-0 loss to the Ducks on Saturday. After a blistering start to the season, things haven’t exactly gone Jones’ way recently. Jones has gone 2-5-0 with a 3.03 GAA and .888 SV% in his last seven outings. He draws a good matchup vs. a Islanders team that has lost five of their last six.

Martin Jones
Rinne will start Tuesday against the Senators.

Rinne allowed four goals on 28 shots in the Predators 4-0 loss to the Blues on Saturday. Rinne has alternated wins and losses in each of his past six games, posting a 2.31 GAA and .913 SV% in that span. On Tuesday, Rinne will face the Senators who are tied for 10th with 2.79 goals per game this season.

Pekka Rinne
Colaiacovo (upper-body) will return to the Sabres lineup on Tuesday.

Colaiacovo has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but he will replace Mike Weber in the lineup tonight in Tampa Bay. Colaiacovo has one assists and a minus-2 rating in six games this season.

Carlo Colaiacovo
Pavelec is the Jets' likely starter on Tuesday.

Pavelec allowed two goals on 22 shots in the Jets 3-0 loss to the Flyers on Saturday. Despite the loss, Pavelec has played very well as of late—he has gone 2-3-0 while posting an impressive 1.97 GAA and .922 SV% in his last four starts plus one relief appearance. Tonight he will take on a Wild team that is sixth in the NHL in scoring, averaging 2.92 goals per game.

Ondrej Pavelec
Beagle (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Beagle reaggravated an old injury in Tuesday’s morning skate and is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s contest. If Beagle is unable to play, look for Michael Latta to be bumped up to the third line and for Chandler Stephenson to get back into the lineup.

Jay Beagle
Reimer is expected to make his fifth straight start.

Reimer allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in Washington on Saturday. Reimer has gone 1-1-2 with a 1.96 GAA and .939 SV% in his last four starts. Losing three of four is never a good thing, but Reimer has done his part. He stopped 43 of 44 shots in a 4-1 win over Dallas eight days ago, but the chances of that happening again are limited.

James Reimer
Holtby starts Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Holtby gave up two goals on 25 shots in the Capitals win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Holtby has won three of four and sits at 8-3-0 with a 2.10 GAA and .916 SV% in 11 starts this season. Holtby has had a strong first month of the season, but he has struggled on the road—Holtby is 2-1-0 with a 3.00 GAA and .864 SV% away from the Verizon Center.

Braden Holtby
Price (lower-body) does not need surgery; will miss at least one more week.

On Monday, Price went to New York for a second opinion on his lower-body injury, but these tests came back the same as the first tests. The good news for Price is that he will not need surgery and is only expected to miss another week. With Price still sidelined, look for Mike Condon to start on Wednesday and Saturday.

Carey Price
Niemi will start Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Niemi allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Stars loss in Toronto on November 2nd. Kari Lehtonen has started the last three games, but Niemi will start tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Niemi has posted a 2.77 GAA and .908 SV% in nine games this season. He lost to them eight days ago, but Niemi should be a great start at home vs. the Leafs.

Antti Niemi
Markstrom will make his season debut on Tuesday.

Markstrom missed the first month of the season with a lower-body injury. He was 1-0-1 with a 2.40 GAA and .909 SV% in two games during a conditioning stint with Utica (AHL). He will make his first start of the season tonight after going 1-1-0 with a 3.08 GAA and .879 SV% with Vancouver last season. He will face a Blue Jackets team who is 4-11-0 on the season and 2-3-0 in their last five.
