Johnson starts Saturday vs. the Sharks.

Johnson made 30 stops on 31 shot attempts in the Sabres win in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Johnson, who has made nine starts this season, sits with a 4-6-0 record and a 2.75 GAA and .896 SV%. Tonight he will take on the Sharks who are 8-8-0, coming off of a 3-2 win over the Red Wings last night.

Chad Johnson
Lundqvist will start Saturday afternoon.

Lundqvist allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Rangers win over the Blues on Thursday. Lundqvist has been on fire, winning his last five starts while posting a 1.40 GAA and .955 SV%. He is a must-start regardless of his matchup, which today is on the road in Ottawa. Lundqvist is 3-1-1 with a 1.78 GAA and .949 SV% on the road this season.

Henrik Lundqvist
Semin will be back in the Canadiens lineup on Saturday.

Semin has been a healthy scratch for the last seven games, but will get back into the lineup tonight vs. the Avalanche. Semin has averaged 13:44 TOI this season, scoring once with two assists in 10 games. He will replace Paul Byron and skate with Alex Galchenyuk and Lars Eller.

Alexander Semin
Bishop starts Saturday vs. the Panthers.

Bishop stopped 30 of 31 shots in the Lightning’s 3-1 win over Calgary on Thursday. Bishop’s strong performance earns him a second straight start for the first time since Andrei Vasilevskiy was recalled. Bishop has a nice home matchup vs. the Panthers—he is 3-3-0 with a 2.19 GAA and .923 SV% on home ice this season.

Ben Bishop
Elias (knee) practiced with his teammates for the first time on Saturday.

Elias has missed the first five weeks of the season with a knee injury, but had been skating alone prior to joining the team during their morning skate on Saturday morning. Elias isn’t quite ready to join the lineup, but it is a good sign that he is progressing.

Patrik Elias
No morning skate for the Penguins; Zatkoff likely starts vs. New Jersey.

Zatkoff made 27 saves on 28 shots in the Penguins win in Edmonton on November 6th. Marc-Andre Fleury has started the last three games, including last night, so look for Zatkoff to go tonight in New Jersey. He has posted an impressive 1.96 GAA and .952 SV% en route to a 2-0-0 record so far this season.

Jeff Zatkoff
Streit has been placed on LTIR; expected to miss six weeks with pubic plate detachment.

While I’m not entirely sure what a pubic plate detachment is, it doesn’t sound very good for Streit. The veteran defenseman is expected to undergo surgery this weekend and should miss six weeks. With Streit out, the Flyers have recalled Shayne Gostisbehere from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Mark Streit
The Flyers have placed R.J Umberger (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

Umberger has missed the last two games and will miss his third game tonight in Carolina. With Umberger being placed on IR, the Flyers have recalled Taylor Leier from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

R.J. Umberger
The Flyers have recalled Shayne Gostisbehere from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Gostisbehere, 22, has scored two goals with eight assists (10 points) in 14 games with Lehigh Valley. Gostisbehere failed to record a point in two games with the Flyers last season. He will make his season debut on Saturday, replacing Mark Streit, who is out for six weeks.

Shayne Gostisbehere
The Flyers have recalled Taylor Leier from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Leier, 21, was a fourth round pick (117th overall) in 2012. Leier, who is in his second year with Lehigh Valley, has registered nine points (4G / 5A) in 14 games with the Phantoms. Leier will make his NHL debut on Saturday vs. Carolina.

Taylor Leier
Cowen (undisclosed) will not play on Saturday.

Cowen will sit on Saturday vs. the Rangers because of a lower-body injury. With Cowen out, Patrick Wiercioch will be back in the lineup after being a healthy scratch on Thursday. Cowen is listed as day-to-day.

Jared Cowen
Reimer will make his seventh straight start on Saturday.

Reimer stopped 21 of 22 shots in the Maple Leafs 2-1 shootout win over the Predators on Thursday. The Maple Leafs surprisingly beat the Predators and Stars in back-to-back games and will look to make it three in a row tonight vs. the Canucks. Reimer is 4-2-3 with a 2.33 GAA and .920 SV% in 10 games this season.

James Reimer
Greiss will start Friday vs. the Ducks.

Greiss allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Islanders win in San Jose on Tuesday. Greiss has won four of his seven starts while posting a 2.39 GAA and .927 SV% with the Islanders. Tonight he will start start in Anaheim—he has gone 2-0-0 with a 1.94 GAA and .947 SV% in two games on the road.

Thomas Greiss
Grubauer will start Friday vs. the Flames.

Grubauer allowed one goal on 27 shots in the Capitals win in Florida on October 31st. Grubauer has won each of his two starts, while stopping 45 of 50 shots (.900 SV%) this season. With Braden Holtby starting last night, the Capitals will turn to Grubauer tonight vs. the Flames. Calgary has gone 3-3-0 while averaging 3.17 goals per game over that span.

Philipp Grubauer
Khudobin starts Friday against the Islanders.

Khudobin stopped all 31 shots that he faced in the Ducks shutout win over the Sharks last Saturday. Khudobin has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.80 GAA and .913 SV% in his first four starts with the Ducks. Tonight he will face an Islanders team in flux—New York has lost six of eight while averaging only 1.75 goals per game.
