Miller is expected to start in goal on Sunday.
Miller allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Canucks loss to the Blues on Friday. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for Miller, who appears to be set to make his sixth consecutive start. Miller comes into play with a 1.77 GAA and .938 SV% in his first five starts this season.
Goalie Start
Dubnyk will start in goal on Sunday vs. the Ducks.
Dubnyk allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Wild’s win over the Coyotes on Thursday. Dubnyk has posted a 3.00 GAA and .892 SV% in three starts this season, but that has translated into a 3-0 start. He was given Friday night off, but will be back in goal tonight vs. a Ducks team who can’t score right now.
Merrill (illness) will not be in the lineup on Sunday.
Merrill will be held out of the lineup on Sunday afternoon because of an illness. Eric Gelinas will get back into the lineup with Merrill sidelined.
Zajac (lower-body) will be back in the lineup on Sunday.
Zajac missed Friday’s game vs. the Sharks, but will be back in the lineup on Sunday afternoon. Zajac has no points and four shots on goal in three games.
Ellis left Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.
Ellis was injured while blocking a shot in Saturday’s win over the Senators. Ellis has had a slow start to the season, registering just one assist in five games. Consider him day-to-day.
Suspension
The NHL has suspended Tyson Barrie for three games for his hit on Simon Despres on Friday.
The NHL suspended Barrie for charging and interference on Despres, who was injured on the play. Barrie is a first time offender so it was surprising to see him get three games. With Barrie out, look for Brad Stuart to get back into the lineup on Sunday.
Goalie Start
Elliott gets the nod on Sunday vs. the Jets.
Elliott allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Blues win over the Oilers on Thursday. Elliott has won all three of his starts this season while posting a 2.00 GAA and .912 SV% this season. This afternoon he will face a Jets team that has averaged 3.60 goals per game in five games this season.
Goalie Start
Berra will make his second straight start on Sunday vs. the Kings.
Berra stopped all 35 shots that he faced in Colorado’s shutout win over the Ducks on Friday. After such a strong performance, it is not surprising to see Patrick Roy going back to Berra tonight vs. the Kings. Berra will take on a Los Angeles team who has just four goals in four games this season.
Goalie Start
McElhinney gets the nod vs. the Blue Jackets.
McElhinney allowed one goal on seven shots after replacing Sergei Bobrovsky in last Saturday’s loss to the Rangers. McElhinney went 12-14-2 with a 2.88 GAA and .914 SV% last season. After Bobrovsky struggled mightily in the first five games of the season, it isn’t surprising to see the Blue Jackets turn to McElhinney.
Goalie Start
Stalock will make his first start of the season on Saturday.
Stalock will make his season debut after Martin Jones won his first four starts of the season. Stalock went 8-9-2 with a 2.62 GAA and .902 SV% as Antti Niemi’s backup last season. He will face the 2-1-1 Islanders who have scored 11 goals in their first four games.
Shattenkirk (lower-body) will not play in the next two games.
Stastny has returned to St. Louis with a lower-body injury.
Bozak (lower-body) will not play on Saturday vs. the Penguins.
Line Change
Connolly will be a healthy scratch in Saturday’s game vs. the Coyotes.
Marchand (concussion) will be back in the Bruins lineup on Saturday.
Marchand missed two games with a concussion but he will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Coyotes. He has no points and seven shots on goal in two games. With Marchand back, Brett Connolly will be scratched.
Goalie Start
Rask will start in goal vs. the Coyotes.
Rask allowed six goals on 23 shots in the Bruins loss to the Lightning on Monday. Rask has had a terrible start to the season. He has registered 4.72 GAA and .846 SV% in three consecutive losses. Rask will start vs. a Coyotes team who has gotten off to a great start to the season.
Injury
Vermette (lower-body) is expected to be in the lineup on Saturday.
Despres left Friday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

The Ducks have recalled Korbinian Holzer from San Diego (AHL).

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
