Thompson will start vs. San Jose on Tuesday.

The Capitals have evenly alternated goalies for most of the season and will continue that trend on Tuesday, switching to Thompson between the pipes. Thomson struggled in his previous outing, allowing four goals on 24 shots (.833 SV%), but salvaged a 5-4 victory over the New York Islanders. The 27-year-old Thompson boasts a 2.56 GAA and .911 SV% in 12 games (10-1-1). The Capitals enter Tuesday's contest as sizeable -280 home favorites against a San Jose Sharks club with a -18 goal differential through 27 games (9-13-5).

Logan Thompson
Luukkonen is in the starter's net at Buffalo's morning skate.

Luukkonen had the night off in the Sabres' last contest, a 3-0 loss to the New York Islanders, but he will likely return to the crease on Tuesday, attempting to snap the team's three-game losing skid. The 25-year-old Luukkonen has been solid between the pipes this season, posting a 2.54 GAA and .909 SV% in 16 appearances (8-5-2). The Sabres enter the action on Tuesday as +124 home underdogs against a Colorado Avalanche club outscored 9-4 over their previous two games (0-2-0).

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Manson (upper-body) has been placed on IR retroactive to November 29th.

Manson exited Friday's 5-3 loss to the Dallas Stars after playing only 7:13 time-on-ice and will be out of action until, at earliest, December 7th against the Detroit Red Wings. The 33-year-old Manson is averaging 17:52 time-on-ice and has six points (1G / 5A) in 24 games this season.

Josh Manson
Ohgren has been recalled from Iowa (AHL).

Ogren has split time between the NHL and AHL this season, going pointless in eight NHL games with Minnesota, and scoring six points (5G / 1A) in eight AHL games with Iowa. The 20-year-old Ohgren was the 19th overall pick of Minnesota in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

Liam Ohgren
Wallstedt has been recalled from Iowa (AHL).

With the Iowa Wild (AHL) off until the weekend, Wallstedt might have been recalled just to receive some extra practice during their off-time. The 22-year-old netminder has struggled this season, posting an ugly 4.34 GAA and .860 SV% in 10 games with Iowa (3-6-1).

Jesper Wallstedt
Zuccarello (lower-body) has been placed on LTIR retroactive to November 15th.

Zuccarello has not played since suffering a lower-body injury on November 14th and was originally given a three-to-four week recovery timeline. Before his injury, the 37-year-old Zuccarello had not missed a beat, playing predominantly alongside Kirill Kaprizov, scoring 14 points (6G/ 8A). in 16 games this season.

Mats Zuccarello
The Red Wings have placed Patrick Kane (upper-body) on injured reserve.

The move is retroactive to November 23rd, so Kane is eligible to be activated and return to the lineup whenever he is healthy. He was already ruled out for Tuesday's game, so moving him to IR is simply a formality to open up a roster spot to recall William Lagesson from Grand Rapids (AHL). Kane should be considered questionable to play Thursday in Ottawa.

Patrick Kane
Stolarz will start against the Blackhawks on Monday.

Stolarz has only played one of the last four games for the Maple Leafs but will return to the crease on Monday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 30-year-old Stolarz has allowed three or more in three straight (1-2-0), including allowing four goals on 23 shots (.826 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 5-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. That said, he is still sporting an excellent 2.33 GAA and .921 SV% in 13 games this season. The Maple Leafs enter the action on Monday as enormous -399 home favorites against a Blackhawks club defeated 6-3 by the Columbus Blue Jackets last night.

Anthony Stolarz
Beckman will draw into the Devils' lineup on Monday.

Beckman will make his Devils debut when New Jersey travels to New York to take on the Rangers on Monday. The 23-year-old was the 75th overall pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and had two points (0G / 2A) in 11 games with Minnesota last season.

Adam Beckman
Markstrom will start in New York on Monday.

Markstrom had the night off in New Jersey's last outing, a 6-5 loss to the Washington Capitals, but will return to the crease on Monday against the New York Rangers. Markstrom has a 2.62 GAA and .902 SV% in 18 games this season (11-6-1), sporting a .909 SV% in his previous 11 (8-3-0). The Devils enter the action on Monday as -125 road favorites against a struggling Rangers club that snapped a five-game losing skid in their previous outing.

Jacob Markstrom
The Panthers reassigned Samoskevich to Charlotte (AHL) on Monday.

Samoskevich was sent down to make room for Chris Driedger, who is projected to back up Spencer Knight in Pittsburgh on Tuesday as Sergei Bobrovsky did not travel with the team due to the impending birth of his child. Samoskevich is likely to be quickly recalled to the Panthers once Bobrovsky returns.

Mackie Samoskevich
Bobrovsky (personal) is not traveling with the Panthers for their game in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Bobrovsky is not expected to be available in Pittsburgh on Tuesday due to the impending birth of his child. Spencer Knight is projected to get the start in Bobrovsky's absence, and the team also recalled Chris Driedger from Charlotte (AHL) on Monday, presumably to back up Knight on Tuesday.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Crevier will be a healthy scratch on Monday in Toronto.

Nolan Allan will return from a three-game absence, sending Crevier to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 23-year-old Crevier has been limited to only four games this season, averaging 16:07 time-on-ice, recording one point (1G / 0A) and a -2 plus/minus.

Louis Crevier
Soderblom will start in Toronto on Monday.

On the tail end of a back-to-back, the Blackhawks will turn to Soderblom between the pipes for the first time in two weeks. The 25-year-old Soderblom has been limited to only six games this season (1-4-0), as a result of strong play from starting netminder Petr Mrazek, despite posting a solid 2.36 GAA and .926 SV%. The Blackhawks enter Monday's contest as significant +358 road underdogs against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Arvid Soderblom
Laine (sprained knee) is expected to return to Montreal's lineup this week.

Laine has yet to play this season after spraining his left knee towards the end of training camp, but appears to be nearing an imminent return to the lineup. The 26-year-old winger was acquired from Columbus in late August for a 2026 2nd-round pick and Jordan Harris after he put up six goals, nine points, and 41 SOG in 18 games in 2023-24.
