Rozsival was a healthy scratch on Friday, but he will be back in the lineup tonight in Winnipeg. There was no word on who would come out, but it will likely be David Rundblad, who replaced Rozsival vs. the Blue Jackets.
Vlasic left Saturday’s game against the Flyers with a lower-body injury and did not return. Vlasic will be held out of Sunday’s game and will be replaced by Taylor Fedun, who was recalled this morning. Consider Vlasic as day-to-day.
Fedun, 26, has registered 33 points (6G / 27A) in 63 games with Worcester this season. He is expected to make his Sharks debut tonight because Marc-Edouard Vlasic will not be available because of a lower-body injury.
Crawford was pulled on Friday after allowing four goals on 13 shots in the Blackhawks loss to the Blue Jackets.It has been a struggle for Crawford as of late—he has lost three of his last four while posting a 3.99 GAA and .891 SV% in the process. Tonight he will go head-to-head with Ondrej Pavelec, who is red-hot having won six in a row.
Holtby started yesterday, but was pulled in the first period after giving up three goals on 13 shots. There is a chance he will get back between the pipes this afternoon.
Brennan has played in four of the last eight games for the Maple Leafs, including last night, but he will head back to the Marlies where he has one assist in nine games since being traded at the deadline.
Schneider allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Devils OT loss in Washington on Thursday. Keith Kinkaid started last night, but it will be Schneider tonight vs. the Ducks. Schneider has lost three in a row while registering a 2.73 GAA and .907 SV% during that span. He is a risky start tonight against the high-powered Ducks.
Hammond was not expected to start anyways, but he will not even be available to backup Craig Anderson. Consider him day-to-day.
Semin was listed as questionable, but he will not be in the lineup tonight vs. New Jersey.
Bourque has missed the last two games and will now miss the rest of the season. Bourque will be back with Columbus next season, in the final year of his contract that carries a $2.5M cap-hit. Bourque scored four goals in eight games with Columbus.
Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Blue Jackets win over the Blackhawks last night. He has won four in a row while posting a 2.21 GAA and .941 SV%. He has been great this month, going 8-2-0 with a 2.49 GAA and .926 SV% in 10 starts. He will face a well rested Blues team, who have not played since Tuesday.
Lack allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Canucks 4-1 loss to the Avalanche on Thursday. Despite the loss he will start again tonight vs. the Stars. Lack has won four of his last six starts while posting a 2.24 GAA and .927 SV%/. He will face a Dallas team who are coming off of a 4-0 loss to the Oilers last night.
Talbot allowed one goal on 24 shots in the Rangers win in Ottawa on Thursday. He was given yesterday off, but he will be in goal today vs. the Capitals. Talbot has won three of his last four while posting a 2.23 GAA and .929 SV%. This afternoon he will make his 15th start at Madison Square Garden—Talbot has gone 9-2-3 with a 1.81 GAA and .939 SV% in his first 14 starts at home.
Hiller allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Flames loss to St. Louis on March 17th. Karri Ramo has drawn the majority of the starts recently, limiting Hiller to just three this month. Hiller has gone 2-1-1 with a 2.16 GAA and .926 SV% to this point in March. He will be in tough tonight against a Nashville team who have won four in a row.
Mrazek stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Red Wings 4-0 win over the Lightning yesterday. It was a big win for the Red Wings, who had been struggling mightily heading into Saturday. Mrazek’s shutout earned him the back-to-back start this afternoon vs. the Islanders. New York comes in having lost seven of their last eight games.
Rask stopped all 14 shots that he faced in the first period, but was forced to leave the game just 10 seconds into the second period. Niklas Svedberg came in and allowed two goals on 18 shots in the Bruins 4-2 win. The Bruins are back in action tomorrow, but there is no word if Rask will be ready to go.
Paquette’s leg bent at a very ugly angle after getting it caught up on the post trying to prevent an empty-net goal. He was in obvious pain and was unable to put any weight on his right leg. The immediate concern is that Paquette broke his leg and will miss the rest of the season, but there was no update on his status after the game.
Garrison appeared to lose his footing as he was hit from behind by Justin Abdelkader this afternoon. It didn’t appear as if Abdelkader meant to drive him into the board, but the collision ended up being much worse as they both crashed into the end boards. Abdelkader was assessed a two-minute boarding minor. There was no update on Garrison’s status following the game.
Letang was hit by Shane Doan and it appeared as if his head snapped off of the boards. Letang had to be helped off of the ice and will remain in hospital and undergo further evaluation. It seems highly unlikely that Letang will be able to play tomorrow vs. San Jose.
