The Stars have already lost Tyler Seguin to a knee-on-knee collision and now they may have lost arguably their best defenseman for “weeks.” The Stars sit nine points out of a Wild Card spot and this all but ruins their playoff chances.
Clarkson received a two-minute tripping minor and a 10-minute misconduct after getting involved in a scrum. It is believed he suffered an injury at some point during that scrum and was forced to leave the game. Things haven’t exactly gone well in a Blue Jackets uniform for Clarkson.

Montoya’s injury is believed to be more serious, so the Panthers have recalled Dan Ellis from San Antonio (AHL).
Luongo was stung by a shot near his neck in the first period. He was able to finish the first period, but was replaced by Al Montoya for the second period. Later in the game, Montoya went down with an injury. He battled through it, until Luongo was able to back up and return for the remaining 9:08.

He has run into a bit of a rough patch, but should be able to get back in the win column tonight vs. the Oilers. He has gone 1-0-1 with a 1.44 GAA and .943 SV% vs. Edmonton this season.
Lehtonen surrendered four goals on 23 shots in the Stars loss to the Avalanche last Friday. Jhonas Enroth has started three of the last four games, but it will be Lehtonen tonight vs. the Islanders. He will face an Islanders team who have averaged 3.50 goals per game in their last 10 games and 3.09 on the season.
Ben Bishop was slated to start tonight but he was reportedly not right after getting nicked up by a shot in the pregame skate. Warmups was all over the place, giving no one a real idea of who was actually starting. However, it was settled prior to puck drop as Vasilevskiy took the crease.

Tonight will be Andersen’s first start since suffering a neck injury on Feb. 8th. He has been great for the Ducks this season, going 29-8-5 with a 2.37 GAA and .916 SV% so far. Tonight he has a great chance to earn his 30th win of the season as he gets set to take on the Coyotes. The 25-year-old is 1-0-2 with a 1.27 GAA and .951 SV% against Arizona this season.
Dubnyk turned aside 33 of 34 shots in the Wild’s 3-1 win in Colorado on Saturday. He was the player of the month in February for good reason—he was 11-2-1 with a 1.64 GAA, .939 SV% and three shutouts in 14 starts last month. Tonight he starts vs. the Sens at home, where he is 7-2-0.
