




Methot suffered a serious finger injury after being slashed by Sidney Crosby on on Thursday. It was a gruesome looking injury and will cost the veteran defenseman “weeks.” With Methot out, Fredrik Claesson is expected to draw into the lineup on Saturday.

Olofsson has appeared in the last three games and 13 NHL games overall during his time with the big club. His return to the AHL suggests that Christian Folin will return to the Wild lineup this weekend.

Koekkoek, 23, has split his season between the AHL and NHL. He has four assists in 29 games with the Lighting and 11 points (2G / 9A) in 38 games with the Crunch. He has been recalled because Jason Garrison was forced from last night’s game with an injury.

Carey has been recalled to serve as an extra forward during the Capitals’ upcoming road trip. The 28-year-old has had a great season in Hershey, having collected 24 goals and 31 assists (55 points) in 55 games this season. He hasn’t been able to translate that into NHL success—he has just two points (1G / 1A) in 30 career NHL games.


Fisher missed last night’s game vs. the Flames with a lower-body injury and is listed as day-to-day. He is questionable for tomorrow’s game vs. the Sharks, so monitor his status during the morning skate.

Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Jets’ loss to Minnesota on Sunday. Despite Michael Hutchinson getting the win on Tuesday, it looks like Hellebuyck will go again tonight in Los Angeles. The 23-year-old stopped 27 of 29 shots in a 3-2 shootout win in his first start vs. the Kings.

Bishop allowed two goals on 16 shots after replacing Jonathan Quick in the Kings’ loss in Calgary on Sunday. Bishop is 0-2-2 with a 2.60 GAA and .899 SV% in four games since being acquired by the Kings before the trade deadline. Tonight he will take on a Jets team that has won three in a row.




Rask allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Bruins’ loss to the Senators on Tuesday. He started both games of the back-to-back, losing both while allowing five goals on 50 shots (.900 SV%). Tonight he will make his third start in four nights as the Bruins look to climb back into third in the Atlantic Division with a win tonight.

Miller surrendered four goals on 44 shots in the Canucks’ win in Chicago on Tuesday. It was an impressive way to snap a five-game losing streak for Miller, who will face the Blues for the first time this season. He is an ugly 5-11-2 with a 3.12 GAA And .910 SV% on the road this season and the Blues come in playing well.


Talbot was pulled after allowing four goals on 18 shots in the Oilers’ loss in Anaheim last night. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Talbot, who will go again tonight in Colorado. He is a must-start vs. the last place Avalanche, who the Oilers beat handily with Talbot in net back in November.
