Miller was pulled from Monday’s game in Minnesota after he allowed five goals on 18 shots. February has been hard on Miller so far—he is 1-3-0 with a 3.80 GAA, .877 SV% and one shutout so far this month. Tonight he will face a Bruins team who have lost three of four in February as well.
Niemi allowed five goals on 33 shots in the Sharks OT loss to the Capitals on Wednesday. Despite losing three in a row while giving up a combined 12 goals on 88 shots (.863 SV%) the Sharks will Niemi back out there tonight in Arizona. In the two previous meetings, Niemi is 1-0-1 with a 2.40 GAA and .907 SV% against the Coyotes.
Ryder has not played in the last seven games, but he will be back in tonight in Chicago. Ryder has collected six goals and 12 assists (18 points) in 42 games this season.
Gelinas was a healthy scratch in the last six games, but will be back in the lineup tonight in Chicago. He has four goals and seven assists (11 points) in 34 games this season. He will replace Mark Fraser in the lineup.
Vlasic will sit out of his fourth straight game with an upper=-body injury he suffered over a week ago. He remains without a timeline for his return.
Bolduc will miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury. He is listed as day-to-day.
Murphy missed Tuesday’s game in St. Louis, but will be back in tonight vs. the Sharks. Murphy has no points in his last eight games and has just six points (3G / 3A) in 49 games this season.
Vitale will miss his ninth consecutive game tonight, but is nearing a return and could be back in the lineup tomorrow vs. the Rangers.
Hainsey missed Hurricanes practice on Friday and is questionable for tomorrow’s game in Minnesota. The Hurricanes will recall a defenseman and then make a decision on Hainsey tomorrow.
Rozsvial is day-to-day with a shoulder injury, so Kyle Cumiskey will make his season debut tonight vs. New Jersey. Coach Joel Quenneville is hopeful that Rozsival will return to the lineup on Sunday vs. the Penguins.
Smith has not registered a single point since December 27th, so he will take a seat tonight vs. the Devils. With Smith coming out, Ryan Hartman will make his NHL debut.
Hartman, 20, will replace Ben Smith in the Blackhawks lineup on Friday vs. the Devils. The 2013 first round pick has eight goals and 10 assists (18 points) in 47 games with Rockford (AHL) this season. He is expected to skate on the fourth line with Marcus Kruger and Patrick Sharp.
Clowe has been out with a concussion since November 6th. At this point there is still no word whether he will return this season or not, but at least he is able to travel with the team.
As expected, Schenn will return after a brief one game absence. He will replace Carlo Colaiacovo in the lineup tonight in Columbus. Schenn has just eight points (2G / 6A) in 43 games this season.
Rozsival was reportedly seen with an ice-pack on his shoulder this morning and could be held out of the lineup tonight. Kyle Cumiskey was recalled last night and could be making his season debut.
Lehtonen allowed three goals on 44 shots in the Stars win over the Bruins on Tuesday. He has won two in a row, but now has a new, more capable backup in Jhonas Enroth, so Lehtonen’s leash just got a lot shorter. He is 4-2-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .916 SV% post All Star break.
Paquette has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but the Lightning returned Vladislav Namestnikov to Syracuse (AHL) this morning which suggests that Paquette will be back in the lineup on Sunday.
Wisniewski has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, but he was on the ice for the Blue Jackets morning skate and is expected to be paired with Kevin Connauton tonight vs. the Flyers. Wiz has 24 points (6G / 18A) in 47 games this season.
Namestnikov played 9:51 with one shot on goal last night vs. St. Louis. His return to the AHL suggests that Cedric Paquette should be ready to return on Sunday.
Cumiskey, 28, has one goal and 10 assists (11 points) in 38 games with Rockford this season. The former Colorado Avalanche has nine goals and 26 assists (35 points) in 132 career NHL games.
