Lehtonen will start Friday vs. the Flames.

Lehtonen stopped all 27 shots in the Stars 2-0 shutout win over the Canucks on Wednesday. It was Lehtonen’s second shutout of the season and a much needed one for his confidence. Lehtonen has now won three of his last four starts with a 2.03 GAA and .924 SV%. Tonight he faces Calgary, who have lost six in a row while averaging just 1.67 goals per game.

Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

He gets another crack at the Blues tonight, this time at home where he is 10-3-1 with a 1.52 GAA and .948 SV% this season.

Jonathan Quick
The Jets have acquired Jay Harrison from the Hurricanes in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

The Jets are without Zach Bogosian, Tobias Enstrom, Mark Stuart and Jacob Trouba for the next little while, so they have gone out and addressed a huge need on the back-end. Harrison, 32, has one goal and three assists in 20 games with the Hurricanes this season. He has totalled 21 goals and 49 assists (70 points) in 337 career NHL games with the Hurricanes and Maple Leafs organizations.

Scrivens gets a third straight start for the Oilers.

Scrivens stopped 42 of 44 shots in the Oilers 2-1 OT loss to the Coyotes. Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored with one second left to make Scrivens 5-11-4 on the season. It has been a struggle for Scrivens and the Oilers. Tonight he will face the Sharks, who he is 1-1-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .867 SV% against this season.

Ben Scrivens
Ramo did not practice on Thursday because of an illness; expected to backup on Friday.

Jonas Hiller will start in goal tomorrow vs. the Stars. Ramo is expected to take part in the morning skate and serve as Hiller’s backup. The Flames have a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, so if Ramo is healthy he could start Saturday vs. Vancouver.

Karri Ramo
Stempniak will be isolated from the team for five days and is being tested for mumps.

Stempniak is expected to be isolated from the team until Tuesday which means he will likely miss the next three games and won’t be back until after the Christmas break. The Rangers are already without Derick Brassard who is out with mumps.

Lee Stempniak
Niemi gets the start vs. Edmonton.

Niemi stopped all 29 shots that he faced in the Sharks’ 2-0 shutout win over the Predators on Saturday. It was Niemi’s 12th win and second shutout of the season. He has won his last five starts with a 2.20 GAA And .927 SV%. He has been great lately and draws an excellent matchup tonight.

Antti Niemi
Quick was the first goalie off of the ice at the Kings morning skate.

Hiller is the Flames confirmed starter for Friday.

Hiller stopped all nine shots that he faced in relief of Karri Ramo in Tuesday’s 5-2 loss to the Rangers. He has failed to record a win since November 18th, but he has played well, posting a 2.07 GAA and .919 SV% in his last three starts. He will face a Stars team who have won three of their last four and rank ninth in the league in scoring (2.87 G/PG).

Stuart will be out until February with a lower-body injury.

Stuart was injured in a fight at the end of Sabres game on Tuesday. The Jets blue line takes another huge blow. They are now without Stuart, Zach Bogosian, Jacob Trouba and Tobias Enstrom for at least the rest of December and early January.

Mark Stuart
Bishop (lower-body) did not practice on Thursday; doesn’t look like he will play this weekend.

Earlier in the week Bishop was hopeful that he would be able to skate today and return to the crease this weekend. He said that he might skate tomorrow, but the chances of him playing on Friday and Saturday appears slim.

Ben Bishop
Johnson did not practice on Thursday because of an illness.

Teammate Radko Gudas missed three games with an illness, so there is a chance that Johnson may have caught that bug. His status for Friday’s game is unknown. Monitor Johnson’s status during tomorrow’s morning skate.

Tyler Johnson
Palat (lower-body) is optimistic he will play on Friday.

Palat said that he had his “best day yet” on Thursday. He has missed the last four games, but could be back in tomorrow. He skated on the second line with Valtteri Filppula and Nikita Kucherov today, because Tyler Johnson missed practice with an illness.

Ondrej Palat
Gudas (illness) is said he is good to play on Friday.

Gudas has missed the last three games with a stomach virus, but should be back in the lineup tomorrow vs. the Devils. With Gudas coming back in, expect Mark Barberio to take a seat. Gudas has two goals and three assists in 26 games this season.
