Greenway (undisclosed) left practice early on Friday and will be a game-time decision in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Greenway played a season-low 13:26 time-on-ice on Thursday and exited practice early on Friday due to an undisclosed injury. The 27-year-old Greenway is averaging 16:17 time-on-ice, recording six points (3G / 3A), and 40 hits in 16 games this season.

Jordan Greenway
Point (lower-body) is progressing but is still expected to remain out on Saturday vs. New Jersey.

Point has not played since November 3rd, missing three straight. He will miss a fourth consecutive game on Saturday but appears to be nearing a return, participating in drills at practice on Friday. Before his injury, Point was enjoying another productive campaign, scoring 13 points (8G / 5A) through 12 games.

Brayden Point
Thompson (undisclosed) will not be ready for Saturday but is hopeful to return on Wednesday vs. Los Angeles.

Thompson scored a goal on Monday, extending his goal-scoring streak to four games, but exited the contest after only 6:49 time-on-ice due to a lower-body injury, did not play on Thursday and will not play on Saturday. The 27-year-old Thompson has been off to a terrific start to the 2024-25 campaign, with 18 points (11G / 7A) in 15 games and could return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings.

Tage Thompson
Jarvis (upper-body) is hopeful to return to practice next week but is considered week-to-week for now.

Jarvis was a late scratch on Monday with his absence not being announced prior to warmups, did not play on Wednesday, and will likely miss some more time due to an upper-body injury. The 22-year-old Jarvis has 11 points (4G / 7A) in 13 games this season.

Seth Jarvis
Vejmelka is in the starter's crease at Utah's morning skate.

Vejmelka was predominantly the backup to Connor Ingram for the first portion of the season but will likely start for the third time in five games. Vejmelka was outstanding in his previous outing, earning a second consecutive start, saving 49 of 50 shots (.980 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. The Czech netminder improved to a 2.37 GAA and .926 SV% in five games (1-3-0) this season. Utah HC enters Friday's contest as +106 home underdogs against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Karel Vejmelka
Schmid has been assigned to the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL).

Schmid entered a contest in relief of Adin Hill last week, saving all 12 shots he faced, but otherwise saw no action while filling in for an injured Ilya Samsonov for the Golden Knights. The 24-year-old Schmid will return to the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL), where he has a 3.56 GAA and .885 SV% in six games (1-5-0).

Akira Schmid
Nieto will make his season debut in Columbus on Friday.

Blake Lizotte (concussion) will not play on Friday, allowing Nieto to draw into the lineup for his season debut. Nieto started the 2024-25 season on a conditioning loan after returning from a knee injury. He score one point (1G / 0A) in two games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, his first stop in the AHL since the 2013-14 season.

Matthew Nieto
Annunen is in the starter's crease at Colorado's morning skate.

After seemingly taking over the crease for Colorado, playing six of eight games, Annunen has returned to the backup role after a strong four-game stretch by Alexandar Georgiev (3-1-0). That said, Annunen will likely return to the crease on Friday against the Washington Capitals and look to improve his 2.64 GAA and .894 SV% through eight games (5-2-0). The Avalanche enter Friday's contest as -169 home favorites against a Capitals club that has lost two of their previous three (1-1-1).

Justus Annunen
Jarry will start in Columbus on Friday.

For the first time since October 16th, the fifth game of the season, the Penguins will turn to Jarry between the pipes on Friday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. After a forgettable start to the season, posting an abysmal 5.47 GAA and .836 SV% in three outings (1-1-0), Jarry was sent down to the Wilke-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL) for a conditioning stint. In five AHL games (4-1-0), Jarry posted a solid 2.16 GAA and .926 SV%. The Penguins enter the action on Friday as -127 road favorites against a Blue Jackets club riding a six-game losing skid.

Tristan Jarry
Wolf will start vs. Nashville on Friday.

Wolf has faced adversity in the early goings of his NHL career, especially behind a middle-of-the-pack Flames club. The 23-year-old Wolf is sporting a solid 2.84 GAA and .913 SV% through eight games this season (5-2-1), significantly outdueling his counterpart Dan Vladar's 3-4-2 record. The Flames enter the action on Friday as +105 home underdogs against a Nashville Predators club defeated 3-2 in overtime by the Edmonton Oilers last night.

Dustin Wolf
Andersen (lower-body) is expected to be out "way longer" than his original week-to-week designation.

Originally expected to be a minor injury, Hurricanes' head coach Rod Brind'Amour revealed on Friday that Andersen will be out of the lineup for the foreseeable future. Adding insult to injury for the Hurricanes, Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed) suffered an injury on Wednesday and might be unable to suit up on Saturday. Expect Spencer Martin to control the Hurricanes' crease during this uncertain time between the pipes for the Hurricanes.

Frederik Andersen
Kochetkov (undisclosed) is doubtful to play vs. Ottawa on Saturday.

Kochetkov left Wednesday's game against Utah HC, leaving the contest after allowing three goals on 18 shots (.833 SV%), due to an undisclosed injury. If Kochetkov is unable to play on Saturday, expect the Hurricanes to recall a goalie to serve as the backup to Spencer Martin.

Pyotr Kochetkov
Jarry was the first goaltender off the ice at Pittsburgh's morning skate.

For the first time since October 16th, the fifth game of the season, the Penguins will likely turn to Jarry between the pipes on Friday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Perron (personal) is a possibility to return in Carolina on Saturday.

Perron has not played since the fifth game of the season, missing 11 straight due to persona reasons, but could return to the lineup on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 36-year-old Perron was having trouble establishing himself in the early part of the season, scoring zero points and recording a -4 plus/minus through five games of playing predominantly on the third line.
