Tonight will be his third start of the season vs. the Islanders—he has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .940 SV% in the first three meetings, but the Islanders come in on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Lack allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Hurricanes loss to the Lightning on March 5th. Cam Ward started the last three games, but Lack will go tonight in Washington. Lack stopped 30 of 32 shots in a 4-2 win in his first start vs. the Capitals. Despite that performance, Lack has struggled to a 7-6-3 record, 2.76 GAA and .900 SV% on the road this season.

Hainsey will be scratched on Tuesday due to an illness, so the Hurricanes have recalled Trevor Carrick from Charlotte and he will make his NHL debut tonight. Hainsey is listed as day-to-day.

Carrick, 21, has posted 37 points (9G / 28A) in 58 games with Charlotte this season. The 21-year-old defenseman will make his NHL debut on Tuesday with Ron Hainsey out with an illness.
