Ramo is the Flames projected starter.

The Flames have been alternating Ramo and Jonas Hiller to this point and it is Ramo's turn in the rotation. He has won each of his first two starts while posting a 1.92 GAA and .934 SV%. Ramo has enjoyed a great start and he will look to keep things rolling tonight against a shorthanded Blue Jackets team.

Karri Ramo
Bobrovsky is in the 'starter's net' this morning.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Stars on Tuesday. It was his first loss of the season, but it was an otherwise decent night. It looks like he will make his fourth straight start tonight and he enters play with a 2.01 GAA and .927 SV% in his first three outings. He draws a good matchup tonight with the Flames in town.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Gerbe left Thursday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Another game, another injury for the Hurricanes. They are already down three top forwards and a top pair defenseman and you can now add Gerbe to that list. There is no word on how serious the injury is, but we should get an update in the near future. He had one goal while averaging 17 minutes a night through four games.

Nathan Gerbe
Berra left Thursday's game with an apparent injury and did not return.

After the game, the Avalanche had no update on Berra, but did recall Sami Aittokallio from Lake Erie, which suggests Berra's injury is not a minor one. The Avs placed starter Semyon Varlamov on IR earlier in the day, so things have gone from bad to worse in Colorado. They will roll with a duo of Calvin Pickard and Aittokallio for at least a week until Varlamov can return.

Reto Berra
Havlat left Thursday's game with extensive facial damage following a hit from Jason Chimera.

Chimera caught Havlat pretty high from behind and rubbed him into the end boards. Havlat went down in a heap, bleeding from his nose and lip. Havlat will likely need some pretty serious repairs and miss some time. The first year Devil had one goal and two assists in his first four games.

Martin Havlat
Grabovski left Thursday's game after hit by Sharks' forward John Scott.

Scott caught an unaware Grabovski with a clean hit in the Sharks' defensive zone. Early reports are the Grabo did not suffer a concussion on the play, which is a positive sign that he shouldn't miss a lengthy period of time. The Isles are considering it an upper-body injury and he will be evaluated this afternoon, after which an update should become available.

Mikhail Grabovski
Dupuis was stretchered off of the ice on Thursday after being hit by an Kris Letang shot.

Dupuis reported numbness in his arm after being hit by the shot, but sensation started coming back after the game. Dupuis missed 43 games last season with a knee injury and could miss an extended period of time now. He likely suffered some nerve damage in his arm, but at this time there is no further update, expect more from the Penguins later today.

Pascal Dupuis
Rask leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask allowed two goals on 20 shots and stopped both shootout attempts he faced in the Bruins 3-2 shootout victory vs. the Red Wings last night. It was Rask's second win in four starts and he comes into tonight carrying a 2.22 GAA an .894 SV% on the season. Rask vs. Price, it should be a great battle.

Tuukka Rask
Campbell (abdomen) will be a game-time decision.

Campbell has not played this season after being limited in the preseason. He is dealing with a core issue, but has been skating with the team recently. He will take part in warmups and a decision will be made after that. If he plays, Ryan Spooner is likely to come out.

Gregory Campbell
Berra will start in goal for the Avalanche on Thursday.

Berra allowed one goal on 28 shots in a 2-1 win over the Bruins on Monday. It was a nice outing for Berra who also stopped all 10 shots he faced after replacing Semyon Varlamov in the season opener. He will be the Avs starter for the next week with Varly sidelined with a groin injury. He draws a solid matchup tonight in Ottawa.

Reto Berra
The Avalanche have placed Varlamov (groin) on injured reserve.

Varlamov participated in the morning skate Thursday and was the scheduled starter. He likely injured his groin at the very end of practice, or tweaked after injuring it in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss at Toronto. The Avs said Varlamov (0-2-1) should be available Oct. 24 against Vancouver. As a result of the injury, Reto Berra will start tonight and Calvin Pickard has been recalled.

Semyon Varlamov
Price will be between the pipes for the Habs.

Price was yanked after he allowed four goals on 23 shots in Monday's loss to the Lightning. The Habs will give him the chance to rebound right away tonight vs. the Bruins. Price only made one starts against Boston last season; he stopped 32 of 33 shots in a winning effort. The Bruins are coming off a shootout win and should be a tired group tonight.

Carey Price
Lehtonen will get the start in goal for Dallas.

Lehtonen stopped 33 of 35 shots in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jackets. Lehtonen has enjoyed a nice start to the 2014-15 season, going 1-0-1 with a 1.92 GAA and .934 SV% in his first two starts. He will make his third straight start against a 2013-14 playoff team when the Stars take on the Penguins and their 5.50 goals per game tonight in Pittsburgh.

Kari Lehtonen
Maroon will miss four weeks with an MCL sprain.

Maroon suffered the injury in the Ducks win over the Sabres on Monday. He was moved to IR yesterday so we knew the injury was going to keep him out a bit and it turns out he will be out until the middle of November with an MCL sprain. This is a tough break for Maroon who had three assists in the first three games playing with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Matt Beleskey is expected to continue to fill that spot, at least until Dany Heatley (groin) is healthy.

Pat Maroon
Quick will start in goal for the Kings.

Quick stopped 31 of 32 shots in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Oilers. It was Quick's first win of the season and he will look to win win back-to-back games tonight vs. the Blues. Quick stopped 28 of 29 shots in a winning effort in his only start against St. Louis in 2013-14.

Jonathan Quick
Berra might get the start tonight because Semyon Varlamov is dealing with a slight groin strain.

It was originally reported that Varlamov was the first off at the morning skate and that he would be the Avalanche starter tonight. However, following the skate head coach Patrick Roy announced that Varly is dealing with a slight groin strain and is a game-time decision. He said Berra "might" start, so it won't be clear who will be in the crease until warmups.

Reto Berra
Mitchell (concussion-like symptoms) will make his season debut on Thursday.

Mitchell has not played in an NHL game since April 10th due to concussion-like symptoms, but he will centre the Avalanche fourth line tonight in Ottawa. The Avs will ease him back him, but the idea is that he will eventually be back in his usual spot as the third line pivot.

John Mitchell
Datsyuk (shoulder) is expected to miss the home-and-home series vs. the Maple Leafs.

Datsyuk is expected to miss his fourth and fifth straight game with the shoulder injury he suffered early in the preseason. There is some optimism in the Red Wings organization that Datsyuk could be back by next weekend, which means Saturday vs. the Flyers. He remains day-to-day, but getting closer.
