Drouin may make NHL debut Monday after all.

Drouin did not take part in line rushes in the early part of the morning skate, but teammate Alex Killorn took a spill in practice and left the ice. Drouin took his spot on a line with Valtteri Filppula and Tyler Johnson, so if Killorn can't play expect Drouin to make his debut.

Jonathan Drouin
Luongo is expected to face the Avalanche on Tuesday.

Luongo stopped all 26 shots he faced in a 1-0 shutout win over the Sabres on Friday. He was given Saturday night off so there is little surprise that he should start tomorrow. He has allowed just one goal in his last two games after giving up eight in his first two starts.

Roberto Luongo
Howard will start for the Red Wings on Tuesday.

After missing Saturday's game, Howard will return to the Wings' cage on Tuesday vs. Montreal. He allowed a single goal on 24 shots in a 4-1 win over the Maple Leafs in his last start. Howie has started the season 2-1-1 with a 1.72 GAA and .934 SV%---he was 1-1-0 against the Canadiens last year.

Jimmy Howard
Datsyuk (shoulder) likely in the lineup for the Red Wings on Tuesday.

Datsyuk skated on the Red Wings top line and top power-play unit in practice on Monday. Following the practice, Datsyuk was noncommittal about playing tomorrow and said a decision will be made after the morning skate. However, Johan Franzen was placed on injured reserve, which opens up a roster spot for Datsyuk, so look for him to play.

Pavel Datsyuk
Kozun will miss a minimum of six weeks with a high ankle sprain.

Kozun injured his ankle on a scary looking collision with the end-boards in Friday's loss to the Red Wings. The young forward had been playing well for the Maple Leafs, especially on the penalty kill. This opens the door for Matt Frattin or Ashton Carter to cut out a larger role.

Brandon Kozun
Howard (groin) says he is good to start on Tuesday.

After sitting out Saturday's game to nurse a groin injury, it looks like Howard will start on Tuesday vs. the Habs, but the Red Wings have not confirmed that yet. This is good news for the Red Wings and Howard owners because he is off to a great start to the season.

Jimmy Howard
The Ducks have recalled John Gibson from Norfolk (AHL).

As expected, the Ducks bring Gibson back to the NHL after spending the weekend getting some playing time with Norfolk. He went 1-1-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .902 SV% in two AHL starts, but with no back-to-backs this week and Freddie Andersen playing great, there is no telling when his next start might be.

John Gibson
Hedman will have surgery on his fractured finger on Tuesday; Out 4-6 weeks.

Hedman was injured when he blocked a shot on Saturday and will miss at least one month, possibly longer. He had three goals and four assists in the first five games, so this is a big loss for the Lightning. Expect Anton Stralman to take over on the top power-play unit, with Jason Garrison taking his spot on the second unit.

Victor Hedman
Scrivens will make his third straight start on Monday.

Scrivens stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Canucks. Finally Scrivens had a decent night, but the Oilers still could not break into the win column. Scrivens has a 4.10 GAA and .848 SV% in four appearances this season. You would be wise to avoid this matchup---the Lightning are tied for third in the NHL in scoring (3.40 Goals per Game).

Ben Scrivens
Beagle (upper-body) will be activated from IR and make his season debut on Wednesday.

Beagle has not played this season because of an upper-body injury, but he will be activated and take Brooks Laich's spot in the lineup vs. the Oilers on Wednesday. This is perfect timing for Beagle who is from Calgary, Albert and will take on the Oilers on Wednesday and Flames on Friday.

Jay Beagle
The Capitals have placed Brooks Laich (upper-body) on injured reserve.

Laich was injured on Saturday and will not travel with the Capitals on their upcoming three game road-trip. He is expected to be back in the lineup in their first game back in Washington on October 29. Jay Beagle has been activated and will take Laich's spot.

Brooks Laich
Staal (upper-body) is not on the ice for Hurricanes practice.

The Hurricanes are not expecting to have Staal until at least October 28th vs. the Canucks. He skated on his own yesterday, but will need to join his teammates for practice before he is cleared to return to the lineup.

Eric Staal
Versteeg (lower-body) is skating on the Blackhawks second line.

Versteeg has missed the first four games of the season, but he was back on the ice this morning and skated with Andrew Shaw and Patrick Kane, which is a good sign that he could make his season debut Tuesday vs. Philadelphia.

Kris Versteeg
Datsyuk (shoulder) is skating on the Red Wings' top-line in practice.

Datsyuk is skating in a regular jersey for the first time since suffering a second-grade shoulder separation in the preseason opener. He reportedly looks great and is practicing hard this morning. All of that, plus skating with Henrik Zetterberg and Justin Abdelkader are all good signs he might be ready to go tomorrow vs. Montreal.

Pavel Datsyuk
Franzen (leg) is not at practice Monday morning.

Franzen missed Saturday's win over the Maple Leafs with leg spasms and he is not on the ice this morning, which suggests that he will likely miss Tuesday's clash with the Habs as well. With Franzen sidelined, Justin Abdelkader will remain on the Red Wings' top line with Stephen Weiss skating on the third line (unless Pavel Datsyuk returns).

Johan Franzen
Howard (groin) is on the ice for the Red Wings' practice on Monday.

Howard was placed on 48-hour goalie IR which allowed the team to recall Petr Mrazek to backup Jonas Gustavsson on Saturday night. Mrazek was reassigned to Grand Rapids this morning and Howie is practicing, so it looks like he is good to go and could start on Tuesday vs. Montreal. Howard is 2-1-1 with a 1.72 GAA and .934 SV% in four starts.

Jimmy Howard
Reinhart will travel with the Sabres on their upcoming four-game road trip.

Reinhart was a healthy scratch on Saturday, but is still eligible to play in four more games before the first-year of his entry level contract is burned. He has no points and a minus-1 rating in five games and is not going to produce as long as the Sabres have him playing on the fourth line. It looks inevitable that he will be sent back to juniors.
