Niemi surrendered three goals on 29 shots in the Stars win over the Sharks on Saturday. Niemi has won each of his last five starts and will be starting for the sixth time in seven games. Niemi enters Monday’s game at 6-1-0 with a 2.61 GAA and .915 SV%. He is a must-start vs. a Maple Leafs team who is averaging just 2.00 goals per game.

Quick did not take part in the Kings morning skate, but Jhonas Enroth did, which suggests that Quick will start tonight vs. the Blackhawks. The Kings have a back-to-back today and tomorrow, so it is believed that Enroth could get one of the games, but it looks as if Quick will go tonight. Quick comes in having won six straight.

McBain will not play on Monday because he and his wife had their first baby on Monday afternoon. With McBain out, the Kings have recalled Derek Forbort to replace him.

Mason gave up three goals on 32 shots in the Flyers loss to New Jersey last Thursday. Michal Neuvirth drew the start on Friday, but Mason will get back in goal tonight vs. the Canucks. Mason enters play with two wins and a 3.39 GAA and .900 SV%. He’ll face a Canucks team that has averaged 2.82 goals per game this season.

Nilsson was pulled after giving up six goals on 17 shots in the Oilers’ loss to the Capitals on October 23rd. Cam Talbot started the last four games but Nilsson will get a chance at redemption tonight vs. the Flyers. There couldn’t be a better opponent to face than a Philly team who is averaging just 1.91 goals per game this season.

Hamhuis missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but will be back in on Monday vs. the Flyers. He has two assists and a plus-1 rating in eight games.

Stone will miss Tuesday and Thursday’s games vs. the Canadiens and Jets and is eligible to return on Saturday’s contest in Carolina. Thankfully for the Senators, they will get both Mike Hoffman and Curtis Lazar back from injury on Tuesday.

Sbisa was spotted wearing a walking boot this morning and he has been placed IR with a lower-body injury. With Sbisa out, Dan Hamhuis will return to the lineup after missing the last three games.

Reinhart missed the last six games with an undisclosed injury but his activation from IR gives Reinhart a chance to play on Tuesday vs. the Flyers. Reinhart has no points and a plus-1 rating in four games.

It still wasn’t a pretty performance, but it was enough to earn his first win of the season and a second straight start. Ramo has an ugly 4.27 GAAA and .868 SV% on the season, but draws a favourable matchup vs. a struggling Colorado team.

Shattenkirk has missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury. He was not expected to miss this much time, but it looks like he will miss his ninth consecutive game on Tuesday, which also puts his status for Wednesday’s game in doubt.

Elliott gave up three goals on 22 shots in the Blues loss to the Islanders on October 24th. Jake Allen has started the last four games, but Elliott will get back in goal on Wednesday in Chicago. Elliott has gone 3-0-0 with a 2.43 GAA and .904 SV% in three starts on the road this season.

Allen turned aside 29 of 31 shots in the Blues win over the Wild on Saturday. He has won three consecutive games while allowing just three goals on 80 shots (.963 SV%). He will start his fourth straight game tonight with the Los Angeles Kings in town on the back-end of a back-to-back set.

Tarasenko missed Saturday’s game because of a lower-body injury, but he will be back in the lineup on Tuesday versus the Kings. Tarasenko has 10 points (6G / 4A) and 46 shots on goal in 10 games this season.

Stalberg missed the last two games with a head injury, but he is set to return to the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Capitals. Stalberg has one goal and three assists (four points) in nine games this season.

Piskula did not get into a game during his call-up, he returns to the AHL where he has no points and a plus-2 rating in four games.

Jackman has been a healthy scratch in the last two games and has only appeared in two games all season. Placing him on IR creates a roster spot for the Ducks to recall a forward on Tuesday.

Hossa, who missed the morning skate will not play tonight vs. the Kings. Hossa’s injury is not believed to be serious and he is hopeful that he will be back on Wednesday vs. St. Louis.

Tavares missed both games this weekend and Monday’s practice. Head coach Jack Capuano said after the session that Tavares is still very sick and that he doesn’t “expect him [back] for a little bit.” It seems highly unlikely that Tavares will be available for Tuesday’s game vs. New Jersey.
