Lack starts in goal for the Canucks.

Lack stopped 31 of 32 shots in a tough-luck 1-0 loss to the Coyotes on Tuesday. Lack has been excellent as of late and is now the number-1 in Vancouver. He is 1-2-1 with a 1.24 GAA and .951 SV% in his last four starts. Lack has faced the Stars for 17 minutes in his career, he stopped all seven shots he faced.

Semin did not take part in Hurricanes' practice this morning.

Semin missed Saturday's game with a lower-body injury, but has played in the last two games recording one goal and one assist with seven shots. The Hurricanes may have kept him out of practice for precautionary reasons, monitor his status following Friday's morning skate prior to their clash with the Rangers.

The Jets have recalled John Albert from St. John's (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Albert is having a strong season with a the IceCaps (AHL) and has recently been red-hot. He has totalled 17 goals and 16 assists (33 points) in 51 games with St. John's. In eight games with the Jets this season he has one goal. He has been recalled to fill the void at centre left by the Mark Scheifele.

John Albert
The Predators have sent Simon Moser back to Milwaukee (AHL).

Moser recorded his first NHL point on Feb 8 and first NHL goal on Saturday, however the two points in six games was not enough to keep him in the NHL. Moser returns to the AHL where he has eight goals and 17 assists (25 points) in 42 games.

Laich (undisclosed) will not play Thursday.

There is no word on what is ailing Laich, if anything, but he is already on his way back to D.C while the Capitals are getting set to play in Boston. The recently acquired Chris Brown will take Laich's spot in the lineup.

Brooks Laich
Giguere first off at the Avs' morning skate.

Giguere allowed five goals on 27 shots in a 6-4 loss to the Kings last Wednesday. With a tough couple of games ahead (STL, WPG, CHI, ANA) it looks like Giggy will get the start tonight in Detroit as they get Semyon Varlamov ready for the tough stretch ahead. Giguere is 7-3-0 with a 2.51 GAA and .918 SV% on the road.

Holtby starts against the Bruins.

Holtby was yanked in the second period after allowing four goals on 18 shots in a loss to the Flyers on Wednesday. Despite the ugly outing and the acquisition of Jaroslav Halak at the deadline, the Caps will turn to Holtby again tonight in Boston. Holtby won his only start vs. the B's this season.

Braden Holtby
Gaborik is skating on the top-line with Anze Kopitar and Justin WIlliams.

Gaborik was acquired on Wednesday in the hope that he will spark the Kings offensively. Putting him on a line with Kopitar certainly increases his fantasy value, but hopefully for his fantasy owners, he can be defensively responsible enough to stay in coach Sutter's good graces.

Marian Gaborik
Lehtonen was the first goalie off of the ice at the Stars morning skate.

Lehtonen allowed two goals on 23 shots in a win over the Sabres on Monday. He was given Tuesday off in favour of Dan Ellis (now with Florida) but will get the start tonight instead of Tim Thomas making his Stars debut. He will take on a Vancouver team he is 2-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .972 SV% against this season.

Kari Lehtonen
Lindback was the first goalie off of the ice at Lightning morning skate.

Lindback has not played since January 30 because of an ankle injury. Lindback has recently returned from a conditioning stint with Syracuse (AHL) where he finished 1-1-0 with a 1.54 GAA and .939 SV%. The Lightning will ease him back into NHL action by likely giving him the start vs. the Sabres.

Anders Lindback
Trocheck has been recalled and will make his NHL debut on Friday.

Trocheck was drafted in the third round (64th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Trocheck is in his first season with San Antonio (AHL) where he has 16 goals and 25 assists (41 points) in 54 games. With Marcel Goc now in Pittsburgh, Trocheck will likely play the remainder of the season with the Panthers.

Vincent Trocheck
Howard starts in goal for the Red Wings.

Howard surrendered four goals on 29 shots in a 4-3 come-from-behind loss to the Devils on Tuesday. It was a tough loss that bounced the Red Wings from the final playoff spot in the East. Howie gets the nod on Nicklas Lidstrom night in Detroit vs. Colorado. He is 1-1-0 with a 2.42 GAA and .898 SV% since the Olympics.

Jimmy Howard
Rask was the first goalie off at the Bruins' morning skate.

Rask turned aside 39 of 42 shots in a win over the Rangers on Sunday. He was given Tuesday night off, but appears ready to return to the crease tonight vs. the Capitals. In his first start vs. the Capitals (5 days ago), Rask allowed four goals on 31 shots in a 4-2 loss.

Tuukka Rask
Callahan will start his Lightning career on a line with Filippula and Kucherov.

Callahan was traded to the Lightning on Wednesday in a captain for captain trade that saw Martin St. Louis go the other way. There was speculation that Callahan could play on Steven Stamkos' wing, but as of right now that is not the case. He will make his Lightning debut tonight vs. the Sabres.

Ryan Callahan
Bobrovsky expected to start for the Blue Jackets.

Bobrovsky stopped 31 of 33 shots in a win over the Stars on Tuesday. Bobrovsky has won three in a row while posting a 2.00 GAA and .927 SV%. Tonight, he draws a tough assignment against his former division foe in Chicago. Bob enters play 9-9-3 with a 2.78 GAA and .912 SV% on the road this season.
