Miller surrendered three goals on 38 shots in the Canucks overtime loss to the Flames on Saturday. Miller has played well through two games, stopping 64 of 68 shots (.941 SV%) but the Canucks giving up 32 shots per game is something they will need to work on going forward. Miller draws a tough matchup tonight in Anaheim .

Grimaldi, who is on IR because of an ankle injury was sent to Portland likely because he is nearing a return to action. Grimaldi will probably get a back up to game speed at the AHL level before returning to the Panthers.

In Montoya’s first season with the Panthers he went 6-7–2 with a 3.01 GAA and .892 SV% and it looks like he will get his first start tonight vs. Carolina. Montoya is a strong backup, worthy of a spot-start sometimes, but this early in the week, you probably don’t need to look for a spot-start just yet. He comes in with a career 2.69 GAA and .907 SV%.

Johnson allowed four goals on 31 shots in his first start of the season. They lost 4-1 to the Lightning, but Johnson played well enough to earn another start today vs. the Blue Jackets. So far this season he has allowed five goals on 50 shots (.875 SV%) which certainly isn’t great. There are better options than Johnson on Monday.

Michlaek missed Saturday’s game but was back at practice on Monday. The veteran blueliner’s injury was not believed to be serious and he should be back in the lineup on Wednesday in Arizona.

Andersen made 42 saves on 44 shots in the Ducks 2-0 shutout loss to the Sharks on Saturday. Andersen was spectacular, but it wasn’t enough because his teammates couldn’t crack Martin Jones at the other end. Andersen draws a god matchup tonight against a Canucks team he was 3-1-1 with a 1.35 GAA and .936 SV% against last season.

Hiller allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Flames overtime win over Vancouver on Saturday. Hiller earned himself a second straight start as he gets set to face the Blues tonight. Hiller lost his only start against St. Louis last season, while going 15-10-2 with a 2.35 GAA and .908 SV% on home ice.

It looked as if Brian Gionta was going to return to the lineup on Monday which would have forced Reinhart out, but GIonta will sit for the third consecutive game, which means Reinhart should stay in the lineup.

Gionta will be given another days rest and will sit out of Monday’s game vs. the Blue Jackets. With Gionta still out, Sam Reinhart will remain in the lineup.

Bobrovksy was pulled after allowing four goals on 22 shots in the Blue Jackets 5-2 loss in New York on Saturday. It was his second game in as many nights, which is never an easy thing to do, but Bobrovksy struggled mightily. He enters play on Monday having allowed eight goals on 47 shots (.830 SV%) but draws a strong matchup vs. the Sabres.

Irwin struggled through his first two games with the Bruins which prompted them to waive him. He cleared waivers and with Zdeno Chara ready to return today, the Bruins sent Irwin back to Providence.

Lundqvist allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Rangers’ 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Lundqvist has enjoyed a stellar start to the 2015-16 season, winning his first three starts while allowing just six goals on 106 shots (.943 SV%). He draws a strong matchup tonight vs. the Jets who lost badly to the Islanders on Monday.

Yakupov finished Saturday’s game on the Oilers’ second line with Connor McDavid and Benoit Pouliot and in practice on Monday he found himself there again. Yakupov has had a rough time cracking the Oilers’ top six, but if he starts producing on a line with McDavid, look out.

Pavelec allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Jets opening night win over the Bruins. He was given Saturday night off, but will be back between the pipes this afternoon on Long Island. The Islanders come into play at 0-1-1 having scored just three goals in their first two games.

After spending two years in Vancouver, Lack was traded to the Hurricanes this summer and will make his debut tonight. Lack posted a 2.21 GAA and .932 SV% in three preseason games, but you should see his regular season numbers fall somewhere closer to his career 2.43 GAA and .917 SV%.

Nash will miss at least the next three games with an upper-body injury. There is a chance he could be ready for next Wednesday’s game in Colorado, but he could just as easily miss the entire West Coast trip and miss up to six games.

Backstrom took part in some battle drills this morning, but hasn’t officially been cleared for contact. He is expect to meet with his surgeon this week and that will determine how much longer he will be out. Expect an update later in the week.

Luongo was excellent in his season debut stopping 38 of 39 shots in the the Panthers’ 7-1 win over the Flyers. Tonight he will get another crack at the Flyers, but expect a bitter Philly team to come out strong. Luongo was 12-11-6 with a 2.53 GAA and .919 SV% on the road in 2014-15.

Howard stopped all 22 shots that he faced in the Red Wings’ 4-0 win over the Maple Leafs in their season opener. It was an ideal start to the season for Howard, who is trying to fight off Petr Mrazek to get his starting gig back. He draws a tough matchup tonight against a Lightning team that has averaged 4.33 goals per game to start the season.
