The Bruins have placed Hampus Lindholm (lower-body) on IR.
Lindholm is expected to miss multiple weeks with a lower-body injury that he suffered on Tuesday, so moving him to IR opens up a roster spot for the Bruins to recall some forward help.

The Bruins have assigned Patrick Brown to Providence (AHL).
Brown suited up on the fourth line on Thursday and had two shots and a minus-1 rating in 12:42 TOI. He'll be replaced by either Tyler Johnson, who was a healthy scratch on Thursday or Georgii Merkulov/Riley Tufte, who were recalled from the AHL in a corresponding move. Brown has seven points (3G / 4A) in 12 AHL games this season.
The Bruins have recalled Riley Tufte from Providence (AHL).
Tufte has already appeared in two NHL games this season and has scored three goals with one assist in six AHL games. The 26-year-old winger has just two goals and one assist in 20 career NHL games with the Stars, Avalanche and Bruins.
The Bruins have recalled Georgii Merkulov from Providence (AHL).
Merkulov has enjoyed a strong start to his AHL season, tying for the team lead with 11 points (2G / 9A) in 12 games. The Bruins are looking to add some offence to their lineup, so Merkulov could make his season debut. He failed to record a point in four NHL games a season ago.

Hill will start in Utah on Friday.
For the sixth straight game, the Golden Knights will turn to Hill between the pipes. The 28-year-old Hill has had an up-and-down season, posting a lackadaisical 3.27 GAA and .879 SV% in 11 games (7-3-1), but was solid in his previous outing, saving 22 of 24 shots (.917 SV%) in a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks. The Golden Knights enter the action on Friday as -121 road favorites against the Utah Hockey Club, fresh off an impressive 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Saros will make his league leading 14th start of the season when the Predators travel to Calgary on Friday. Nashville's franchise netminder has been phenomenal of late after a rocky start to the season, posting a .934 SV% across his last five starts. He owns a .911 SV% and a 2.64 GAA on the season, but a lack of goal support means he's only managed a 4-7-2 record. Saros and the Predators enter action on Friday as slight favourites over the Flames at -125.
The Wild recalled Ohgren from Iowa (AHL) on an emergency basis on Friday.
Ohgren was recalled to fill the roster spot vacated by Mats Zuccarello, who was placed on injured reserve earlier on Friday due to a lower-body injury. Ohgren is yet to register a point in seven games with the Wild this season.
Kulich was recalled from Rochester (AHL) on Friday.
Kulich was recalled to fill the roster spot vacated by Tage Thompson, who was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. Kulich has one goal and zero assists in eight games with the Sabres this season.
Thompson (lower-body) was placed on injured reserve on Friday.
Thompson was placed on IR retroactive to Monday's game, when he scored a goal to extend his goal-scoring streak to four games, but exited the contest after only 6:49 time-on-ice due to a lower-body injury. Thompson did not play on Thursday and will not play on Saturday. The 27-year-old Thompson has been off to a terrific start to the 2024-25 campaign, with 18 points (11G / 7A) in 15 games and could return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings.
