The Minnesota Wild have recalled forward Stephane Veilleux from the Iowa Wild (AHL).

Veilleux has skated in 10 games with Minnesota this season and has tallied 101 points (46-55=101) and 323 penalty minutes (PIM) in 470 NHL games with Minnesota, Tampa Bay and New Jersey. He ranks fifth in Wild history in hits (407), eighth in games played (392), ninth in PIM (275) and 11th in shots (565).

The Wild have reassigned forward Erik Haula to Iowa (AHL).

Haula has collected two assists and a plus-3 rating in 10 games with Minnesota this season. The 5-foot-11, 192-pound has tallied 14 points (7G / 7A) in 20 games with Iowa this season. The 22-year-old ranks tied for first on the team with four power-play goals, and third in goals and scoring.

Weiss had successful surgery for a sports hernia and is out indefinitely.

Weiss is expected to miss two months and return following the Olympic break. Weiss' first few months as a Red Wing have been forgettable ones. He has had a hard time staying on the ice and when he is in the lineup he has recorded just four points (2G / 2A) in 26 games.

The Flyers will start Steve Mason tonight in Philadelphia.

Mason allowed four goals on 29 shots but still walked away with the W after the Flyers buried five in the third period. The win was his 13th of the season and he will be looking for number 14 tonight vs. Minnesota. Mason enters play tonight with a 9-6-0 record, 2.28 GAA and .924 SV% at home.

Steve Mason
Gustavsson gets the call for the Red Wings.

Gustavsson gave up four goals on 23 shots in a 5-4 shootout win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday. It was not the best outing, but The Monster made a save of the year type of save that kept the Red Wings in contention. He will man the crease again tonight with the Islanders in Detroit.

Jonas Gustavsson
Laich (groin) will return to the Capitals lineup tonight.

Laich has missed the last 11 games after suffering a groin injury in last November. He has four goals and two assists in 25 games. Laich will skate on the fourth line.

Brooks Laich
Grubauer starts for the Capitals.

Grubauer stopped 39 of 41 shots in a win over the Hurricanes on Friday. He has been great since being recalled from Hershey. He has settled the Capitals crease going 4-0-1 with a 2.05 GAA and .940 SV% in four starts and six appearances. He takes on a tough Ducks squad tonight.

Matt Calvert could miss up to three weeks after suffering a sprained shoulder.

Calvert was injured in the second period of Saturday's game. He had recorded four goals and four assists in 17 games. This is a tough loss for the Blue Jackets who lose a high-engergy source along with their premiere sniper.

Matt Calvert
Marian Gaborik, who had just returned after missing five weeks because of a knee injury, suffered a fractured collarbone that will keep him out of the lineup up to two months.

Gaborik’s injury almost certainly rules him out of playing for Slovakia in the Winter Olympics. The hockey tournament is set to begin on Feb. 12 — just 71/2 weeks from today. “He seemed like he was in decent spirits,” head coach Todd Richards said. “But I’m sure once it starts to settle in — the significance of the injury, obviously missing the time here from our lineup, plus all the work that he put in to get ready to come back … now to miss something that happens only every four years, that’s tough. You don’t get many shots at that.” -

Clemmensen gets the call for the Panthers.

Clemmensen allowed two goals on 34 shots in a win over the Senators on Thursday. He has won four straight starts while allowing just six goals. The career back-up has picked up the slack left by Tim Thomas' injury. He draws a solid matchup vs. the Lightning.

Scott Clemmensen
Berra goes for the Flames on Monday.

Berra allowed two goals on 31 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Bruins last Tuesday. The loss was no fault of Berra's who played very well against one of the league's best. Berra draws another very difficult matchup with the Blues in town.

Reto Berra
Raanta starts on Monday.

Raanta stopped 22 of 24 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Canucks on Friday. Raanta has played very well having started his NHL career 7-1-2 with a 2.22 GAA and .920 SV%. Playing behind a great Blackhawks team makes him a strong choice on most nights.

Antti Raanta
Luongo leads the Canucks onto the ice for warmups; he starts.

Luongo allowed four goals on 19 shots before being pulled in a loss to the Stars on Thursday. He will go tonight at home vs. the Jets. Bobby Lu is 5-1-1 with a 1.75 GAA and .943 SV% in December and 9-5-3 in Vancouver.
