Tatar has been moved into the Red Wings top-6.

Tatar has been either a healthy scratch or a third liner to this point, but this morning Mike Babcock had him skating with Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen. Don't buy too much into this until he plays with them in a game, but after an embarassing 6-1 loss the other night, don't be surprised if Babcock keeps this shake-up intact tomorrow vs. New York.

Tomas Tatar
Zatkoff first off the ice - he goes tonight vs. the Islanders.

The Penguins indicated earlier in the week that Zatkoff would start one of their back-to-back games. He gets the easier matchup vs. the Islanders, expect Fleury tomorrow vs. the Maple Leafs. Zatkoff struggled in his NHL debut, he allowed six goals on 30 shots against a mediocre Panthers team.

Jeff Zatkoff
Markstrom gets the nod for the Panthers.

Markstrom will start his first game since October 15th, when he allowed four goals on 30 shots in a losing effort vs. Nashville. The last time Tim Thomas went down with an injury, Markstrom didn’t play great, but he has a solid matchup vs. Buffalo tonight – He is risky, but it could work out.

Jacob Markstrom
Letang, as expected, is on the ice for the Penguins' game-day skate. Expected to play tonight for the first time this season.

Letang has been sidelined for the Penguins first nine games because of a knee injury. The Penguins went 7-2-0 without their star defenseman, so his presence on the back-end and on the power-play will only bolster and already elite lineup. There were reports that he was 'flying' in practice this week, making him safe to deploy tonight - if he plays of course.

Kris Letang
Bergenheim will make his season debut tonight vs. the Sabres.

Bergenheim hasn't played in an NHL game since 2011-12 after getting injured overseas during the lockout last season. He is coming off of offseason hip/abdomen surgery. He likely won't have too much fantasy value, unless he works his way into the Panthers top-6. He will skate on the fourth line tonight with Scott Gomez and Jesse Winchester.

Sean Bergenheim
Sergei Bobrovsky starts in goal.

Bobrovsky allowed one goal on 25 shots in a 4-1 win over the Devils on Tuesday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak and was his third of the season. Last year’s Vezina trophy winner has a 2.49 GAA and .921 SV% in eight starts to begin the season. He has a tough matchup vs. the 7-3-0 Maple Leafs tonight.

Sergei Bobrovsky
David Clarkson is expected to make his Toronto debut after serving a 10-game suspension to start the season.

Clarkson was involved in a preseason incident in which he left the Leafs bench to join a fight against the Buffalo Sabres. A native of suburban Toronto, Clarkson signed a huge seven-year contract with the Leafs this summer and was one of the most sought-after free agents. His addition to a Leafs team that's already playing well should be a significant boost.

David Clarkson
Harding left Thursday's contest with a lower body injury and did not return.

Harding appeared to have injured his knee while attempting to stop an Alexander Semin shot on the power-play. He finished the period, however was noticeably flexing his knee periodically. He didn't return for the third as Niklas Backstrom, who hasn't played since October 8th and isn't 100% either finished up the game. Harding was awarded the win after stopping 20 of 21 shots and exited with a 2-1 lead intact.

The Hurricanes have announced that goaltender Cam Ward is expected to miss three to four weeks after suffering a lower-body injury during tonight’s game against the Minnesota Wild.

Ward had an injury plagued shortened season and will now miss a lengthy period of time this year. This will also drastically hurt his chances of making Team Canada's Olympic roster. Carolina now turns to Justin Peters and will call up Mike Murphy while Anton Khudobin continues to nurse a lower-body injury.

Cam Ward
Quick likely starts for the Kings.

Quick allowed three goals on 25 shots in a loss to the Flames on Monday. Despite the loss Quick has looked much sharper in his recent starts, providing his owners with a sense of relaxation after a slow start. He has a solid matchup with the Coyotes tonight.

Jonathan Quick
As of now, coach Mike Yeo says no surgery is planned and Brodin may even skate tomorrow, although maybe not with the team. Brodin will obviously wear a full cage for awhile. So cautious good news right now.

It sounds like Brodin isn't going to be out for too long, so you can hold onto the emerging young defenseman while he recovers.

Jonas Brodin
Loui Eriksson out indefinitely with a concussion after taking head shot from John Scott.

Concussions are a tricky injury to offer timetables for so take his injury day-by-day. This is a tough break for a player who has only missed a total of three games in the last five seasons. In the meantime this offers a value boost to Brad Marchand who shifts back to the second line alongside Patrice Bergeron.

Loui Eriksson
Based on line rushes, looks like Doan is in. Skating with Vernmette and Klinkhammer. We'll see what he says after the skate.

Doan missed Tuesday with lower-body injury, but should be back in the lineup tonight. The longtime Coyote still skates in the top-6 but is not the player he used to be. He has just one goal and two assists in nine games.

Shane Doan
Lupul is day-to-day with a bruised foot.

Lupul took a Paul Ranger shot off of the foot at practice today. X-rays came back negative and he will travel with the team to Columbus. If Lupul can't play tomorrow, Josh Leivo will be inserted into the lineup.

Joffrey Lupul
No Erik Johnson at practice today. That bruised foot he suffered in Wednesday’s practice proved too much to get on the ice.

Tyson Barrie looks like he’ll get the call to replace Johnson in the lineup tomorrow against Carolina, if Johnson can’t play. He is getting time on the power-play unit and has been paired opposite Jan Hejda in practice.
