Patrick Eaves will be out two-to-four weeks with a sprained left medial collateral ligament as well as a slight left ankle sprain
Eaves was injured during Thursday's practice. Eaves will likely start the season on injured reserve.
Bernier was nursing an undisclosed injury prior to last night's preseason game but wanted to give it a go anyways. The Leafs new net minder left the game after the first period and did not return.
The injury is not believed to be serious and he should be considered day-to-day.
Kadri injured his left hand a few shifts into the third period in last night's preseason game vs. Ottawa. X-rays on his hand came back negative.
Kadri should be considered day-to-day with the minor injury.

Drewiske is not fantasy relevant.
Bergeron may make his first pre-season appearance Saturday. It will be his first game action since separating his shoulder, cracking his ribs, tearing rib cartilage and puncturing a lung in the Stanley Cup Final three months ago. If not Saturday in Detroit, then he's likely to play Monday.
This is a good sign that Bergeron will be ready for the Bruins season opener on October 3rd. It will take him some time to get back into game shape but expect him to be close to; if not 100% come October.
#NHLDucks defenseman Luca Sbisa sprained his ankle Monday vs. Phoenix and will be out two weeks from the time of the injury.
Sbisa is questionable for the Ducks season opener on October 2nd.
Giroux is pushing to make his preseason debut on Tuesday against the Devils.
Giroux has been practicing for over a week, his first extended action since injuring finger tendons in a freak golf accident in late August. He will visit doctors for clearance once the Flyers return home from their Lake Placid trip on Sunday.
Cal Clutterbuck will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a leg laceration.
All we knew was that Clutterbuck was going to "miss some time", now the 4 to 6 week recovery period could have him missing the first 10 games of the season. Clutterbuck could potentially see time on a line with Jonathan Tavares this season. The two were line mates when they played for the Oshawa Generals. Playing with Tavares would make Clutterbuck's fantasy value way higher than it has ever been, so monitor his situation after he has recovered from the injury.
Devils say Ryan Clowe has a lower-body injury and won't return.
Suspension
Pulkkinen has been suspended four games for his hit on Blackhawks' defenseman Mike Kostka.
The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with centre Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to a seven-year contract extension worth $42 million US.
Nugent-Hopkins, 20, scored four goals and 24 points in 40 games last season before he was shut down in April to have season-ending shoulder surgery. As a rookie, the third-year NHLer recorded 18 goals and 52 points in 62 contests.
Calgary Flames prospect Sean Monahan impressing in pre-season
“For such a young centreman, I think he’s adapting real well to NHL hockey,” head coach Bob Hartley said at the morning skate. “He still has things to learn which is perfectly normal for any kids that age. He doesn’t get rattled. He’s very poised . . . we have big plans for this young man." It sounds like Monahan has a good shot at making the Flames opening night roster.
Alfredsson will miss tonight's pre-season game vs. the Bruins with a lower-body injury.
Klesla, who suffered a concussion and whiplash last week, was at Jobing.com Arena on Tuesday, but there’s still no timetable for his return.

Laich had a "flare-up" of a strained hip flexor suffered a few weeks ago on his first day in Washington training camp.
Jack Capuano says Cal Clutterbuck suffered a skate laceration and "will miss some extended time." #Isles
Clutterbuck arrived to New York as a restricted free agent, the return for Nino Niederreiter in a trade this summer and then signed a four-year, $11 million deal. There's no real clear indication of how much time is an "extended" amount but it doesn't give the impression that Clutterbuck is going to be back by the start of the season in two weeks but you never know.
Injury
Things are progressing well for Brian Gionta. He should resume practice with contact this week. Goal is to play at the end of September.
Gionta is recovering from offseason bicep surgery.
Detroit Red Wings forward Johan Franzen was scheduled to play in his first exhibition tonight, at Chicago, but is sidelined by a sore hip flexor.
Franzen was penciled in to play left wing next to newcomers Daniel Alfredsson and Stephen Weiss.
The Avalanche have signed D Chris Bigras to a 3-year, entry level contract.
Bigras was selected with the 32nd (2nd Round) overall pick in this year's NHL Entry Draft. He led all Owen Sound defensemen with 38 points (8g/30a) while adding a +35 plus/minus rating in 68 games during the 2012-13 Ontario Hockey League season. The 6-foot-1, 186-pound defenseman ranked second on the team in plus/minus, was third in assists (tied) and fifth in points. He was rated by NHL Central Scouting as the sixth-best North American defenseman in its final rankings for the 2013 Draft.
