Bryz will probably start Thurs., Homer said.

Bryzgalov was given a rare day off yesterday. It would make sense if the Flyers go back to him after he started 22 games in a row before yesterday. Bryz has won four of his last five but his last start was an ugly loss to Winnipeg in which he allowed four goals on 16 shots.

Babcock said Smith is back in the lineup tomorrow in place of White.

Smith was a minus-5 in his last five games which led to him being a healthy scratch in the Red WIngs last two games. He is Detroit's top-defensive prospect and at the age of 24. He has five assists in 26 games this season.

Brendan Smith
#Habs Budaj will start vs. Sabres in Buffalo Thursday.

Budaj has been great as Carey Price's backup this season. He is 6-1-1 with a 2.28 GAA and .917 SV% this season. He has a strong matchup tomorrow vs. the Sabres. He is worth a look if you need a spot-start.

Peter Budaj
Ellis was scheduled to start Tuesday, but suffered a lower-body injury during the pregame warmup.

There is no word on what Ellis is dealing with or how serious it is. The Hurricanes aren't practicing today so we likely won't hear anything until tomorrow.

Dan Ellis
Enstrom left yesterday's game after taking a hard hit in the first period and did not return.

Jets coach Claude Noel said afterward Enstrom is day-to-day after "it just seized up. It's just something that happens when you put stress on muscles." It doesn't sound like Enstrom's injury is too serious.

Miikka Kiprusoff gets the start in net for the #Flames tonight.

Kiprusoff hasn't won since March 24th. In his last start he allowed four goals on 21 shots as the Flames lost 5-2. Kiprusoff is not the goalie that he used to be and the Flames are bad, he is not a reliable fantasy option.

Canes Recall Nicolas Blanchard from Charlotte

Blanchard, 25, has scored four goals, earned five assists (9 points) and accumulated a team-leading 124 penalty minutes in 61 games with Charlotte this season. Currently in his sixth full professional season, the Granby, Que., native has scored 54 goals, earned 61 assists and totaled 703 penalty minutes in 403 career AHL regular-season games.

Nicolas Blanchard
Patrice Bergeron, who suffered a concussion last Tuesday night, remains home in Boston and the Bruins have not offered a possible return date.

NHL protocol calls for concussed players to remain out of action for a minimum one week. One of Bergeron's long-time pals noted on Monday that the veteran pivot was encouraged by an examination he had on Friday with noted concussion expert Dr. Robert Cantu.
