In goal, the Avs' Semyon Varlamov will oppose the Wings' Jimmy Howard.

Varlamov played amazing, making some spectacular saves in a 34-save shutout performance vs. the Predators on Saturday. He will get the nod tonight on the road vs. the Red Wings. He is 0-11-2 with a 3.64 GAA and .889 SV% away from the Pepsi Center this season.

Semyon Varlamov
Kiprusoff gets the start.

Kiprusoff allowed five goals on 20 shots in a loss to Columbus on Friday. He has lost four of his last five starts and allowed five goals in three of those losses. He has a fairly tough matchup against an Oilers team who is finding their scoring touch as of late.

Ruutu (lower-body) is day-to-day

Ruutu left Saturday's game with a lower-body and did not return. This is what we have come to expect from Ruutu, he is a good player (3 A in 4 games) but he has a hard time staying healthy. He won't be in the lineup tonight when the Hurricanes take on the Habs.

Tuomo Ruutu
Thomas Vanek is "highly unlikely" to play against Penguins on Tuesday, says coach Ron Rolston. Vanek has missed two games with injury.

It sounds like Vanek will miss his fourth straight game tomorrow because of an upper-body injury. The Sabres haven't won a game since Vanek got hurt.

Thomas Vanek
#Blackhawks wingers Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa won't play vs. Predators tonight.

Sharp will miss his 11th straight game with a shoulder injury. The Hawks next game is Thursday vs. the Blues, consider him questionable for now, but monitor his availability.

Patrick Sharp
Craig Anderson will go on road trip with the Sens. He doesn't want to set a timeline for his return, but sounds like this week is possible.

The Sens play tomorrow, Friday and Sunday so monitor his status prior to those games to see if he will get any starts this week. He could be a good pick heading into the playoffs.

Craig Anderson
Devan Dubnyk first goalie off the ice indicating he'll start again tonight.

Dubnyk stopped all 24 shots that he faced in a very easy shutout vs. Vancouver on Saturday. His teammates were on fire, especially Taylor Hall who recorded a hattrick in the first period. He has a strong matchup tonight vs. the Flames tonight.

Devan Dubnyk
Would be quite surprised if Viktor Fasth doesn't go tonight vs. Stars.

After a spectacular start to his NHL career Fasth has taken a step back. This will be his first start since March 25th when he allowed four goals on 38 shots in a losing effort vs. the Sharks. He has a fairly tough matchup vs a Stars team who have scored 13 goals in their last three games.

Viktor Fasth
Backstrom starts for #mnwild

Backstrom had a fantastic March. He went 11-2-0 with a 2.48 GAA and .915 SV%. He has a tough matchup tonight vs. the Blues tonight, but he has made himself a must-start with his recent stretch of stellar play.

Niklas Backstrom
Corey Crawford is starting tonight. #Blackhawks

Crawford had his shutout ruined with 33 seconds left in Sunday's game. He made 33 saves but did not have to work to hard because the Blackhawks scored three goals on their first three shots and were in control the entire game. He has a good chance to start the week off with a win vs. the Predators.

Corey Crawford
Nabokov starts for #Isles tonight in Newark.

Nabokov had his three game winning streak snapped on Saturday. He allowed two goals on 27 shots vs. the Penguins. He played very well, but Tomas Vokoun could not be beat in the other net. He will need to outplay Martin Brodeur tonight if he is going to record a win.

Evgeni Nabokov
Kunitz-Kennedy-Dupuis

Kennedy was moved up to Crosby's spot on the first line during Saturday's game. However he was quickly swapped out in favor of Brandon Sutter. Kennedy was in Sid's spot this morning so it looks like he will get another crack between Kunitz and Dupuis. This will certainly boost his fantasy value, but make sure it is a permanent move before rushing to the waiver-wire to add him.
