Muzzin hasn’t played since suffering an injury in the preseason game against the Avalanche in Colorado Springs on October 2. Though he has been practicing with the team, he hasn’t been cleared to return to game action. Muzzin is expected to get an X-ray on October 23rd, which is three weeks from the day he was injured, a decision on his status should be made after that.

He’s back already for Saturday’s game against the New Jersey Devils, where he’ll be slotted on the wing of the fourth line with Andrew Desjardins and Adam Burish, in place of John Scott.

Svedberg stopped the only two shots that he faced in a relief effort of Tuukka Rask on Thursday. He allowed two goals on 30 shots in his first start and makes for a great spot-start option tonight when he takes on the Sabres.

Bernier will likely get the call in net on Saturday vs. the Red Wings after James Reimer lost to Detroit last night. Bernier has not started since last Saturday and he gave up five goals on 41 shots in a loss to the Penguins last night. Bernier's .882 SV% is not going to lock-down the number-1 job, so he needs a big night tonight.

Gagne has seen some time on the Bruins first line in his first two games, but tonight he will start there and is expected to stay there for the time being. He has played well in his first two games in a Bruins uniform and scored on Thursday vs. the Habs.

If Franzen is unable to go tonight expect Justin Abdelkader to play on the top-line and for Stephen Weiss to make his season debut.

Halak allowed three goals on 23 shots in Thursday's shootout win over the Sharks. Halak moved to 3-0-0 with a 2.92 GAA and .900 SV% in his first three starts with the Islanders. While it has been a great start, Halak runs into a great Penguins on the road tonight, making him for a risky start.
