Antti Niemi will get the start for the Sharks after his impressive 31-save performance on Sunday.

Niemi is securely in the #1 goalie position in San Jose and should see a lot of games this season. The Sharks should be a good team as long as Niemi plays well. He could be one of fantasy's best goalies this year if he can find more consistency than last season.

Antti Niemi
Dubnyk to start for the Oilers vs. the Sharks.

Dubnyk played well against the Canucks in the Oilers season opener and took home the win allowing 2 goals on 29 shots. He should have a lot of goal support in front of him with all the young talent Edmonton has. As long as he's keeping the puck out of the net Edmonton should have no problem winning games. It is Dubnyk's job to lose.

Devan Dubnyk
Cory Schneider getting the start tomorrow. #Canucks

There has been a lot of drama this offseason surrounding the Canucks goalie situation and when Schneider was pulled in the season opener after allowing 5 goals in just 27 minutes, the drama reached a whole new level. The Canucks obviously aren't goingt to give up on him after just one bad start, but if Schneider wants to keep his job, he needs to perform better.

Cory Schneider
Smith will start vs. Blue Jackets.

After just two games this year Smith has given up 10 goals, his save percentage sits at .825 and the Coyotes are 0-2. Smith marveled last year and had a lot of hype coming into this year. Obviously it has only been two games so it isn't time to panic just yet.

Mike Smith
Carey Price gets the start tonight against the Panthers.

Price took a loss in the season opener against the Maple Leafs. He's had a couple of days off to get his groin healthy and should be good to go tonight against the Panthers. He needs help from the rest of his team, because one goal isn't nearly enough goal support.

Carey Price
#Isles Niederreiter seeking trade

Niederreiter wants out of New York. He didn't make the team out of camp, and obviously feels like he should have. He has 36 points in 39 games in the AHL, so right now he has no fantasy value. Keep an eye on this, if he gets traded to a team that gives him an opportunity to play he could become fantasy relevant.

Nino Niederreiter
Lehtonen will start tonight against the Red Wings.

Lehtonen gets his 2nd start of the year after have a couple days off since his 37 save performance that resulted in a win on opening night. I think it is worth noting though that Lehtonen is 3-5 with a 3.40 GAA in his career against the Red Wings. However the Wings haven't really found their scoring touch just yet, so he could improve on those numbers tonight.

Kari Lehtonen
Bryzgalov to get his third straight start tonight versus New Jersey.

Bryzgalov (0-2, 3.06 GAA, .909 SV%) has looked okay in his first two games but both resulted in losses for the Flyers. They have shuffled their lineup for tonight's game and look to get in the win column. Bryz will get his wins, fantasy owners shouldn't worry.

Ilya Bryzgalov
Chris Mason to get his first start of the season tonight.

Rinne has played well in both his first two games but the Preds have lost in a shootout in both. This is just a day off for Rinne after having to make 36 saves on 39 shots last night. Mason has no fantasy value.

Ondrej Pavelec is back in goal for #NHLJets after looking sharp against the Bruins on Monday.

Pavelec looked great against the Bruins and stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced. Unfortunately for him Tuukka Rask was equally as good and the Jets lost in a shootout. Pavelec faces another tough test in Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals tonight.

Ondrej Pavelec
Elliott to start tonight against the Blackhawks.

Elliott came in for a struggling Halak last night against the Predators and stopped all 13 shots that he faced and recorded the win. The Blues were always starting Elliott tonight because of the back-to-back so I don't think that the Blues have lost faith in Halak just yet.

Brian Elliott
Yeo says Backstrom will start tonight vs Preds.

Backstrom looked good stopping 25 of 27 shots against the Avs in the opener. His backup Harding also looked great posting a shutout in his first start against the Stars. The Wild clearly have 2 capable goalies so Backstrom is likely to get his fair share of days of. However when he plays, he is a great fantasy start.

Niklas Backstrom
Kopitar pronounced himself good to go for Tuesday night’s game at Colorado.

Kopitar was expected to miss 2-4 weeks when he first strained his knee.... Forget that! He only missed the Kings season opener. This is fantastic news for people who took Kopitar because you probably got him later than you should have because of the injury. Kopitar is a must-start in all formats.

Anze Kopitar
#NYR Gaborik practicing on line with Richards and Nash.

The Rangers are off to a disappointing 0-2 start and it looks like John Tortorella isn't going to wait any longer to put his three big guns together. On paper this looks like the best line in the NHL, and they really should have no problem scoring with all that talent.
