Ramo was excellent on Thursday stopping 27 of 28 shots in a win over the Sharks. The W moved him to 11-10-4 with a 2.69 GAA and .907 SV% this season. He carries a 6-4-0 home record into tonight's meeting with the Wild, the first of his career vs. Minny.

Just kidding! There were reports that Spurgeon looked in line to return to the Wild's blueline tonight, but he will end up being held out of his 14th consecutive game. Keith Ballard will stay in the lineup.

Niemi allowed three goals on 27 shots in a loss to the Oilers on Monday. Ben Scrivens made 59 saves on the other end of the ice, handing Niemi his first loss in his last four starts. He'll get another shot at the Blackhawks tonight, they lit him up for five goals on 27 shots in November.

Spurgeon has missed the last 13 games with a broken foot but is expected to replace Keith Ballard on the blueline. Spurgeon has 12 points (1G / 11A) in 43 games this season.

Bonino was injured early in Thursday's game against Philadelphia. He will miss tonight and at least next two games. (CBJ and CHI). Dave Steckel has been recalled to fill-in as the fourth-line centre.

Ehrhoff wants to play. Ted Nolan will decide if the defenseman is able to play.Ehrhoff, who missed the Sabres’ last game because of illness, will take part in the pregame skate this afternoon prior to the meeting with Colorado. Nolan will judge the defenseman’s fitness before deciding to use him.

Hiller allowed four goals on 33 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Wild on Tuesday. He was given Thursday off, so there is no surprise that Hiller is in-line to start tonight. After winning 14 in a row, Hiller has now lost three of his last four starts. Hiller has allowed six goals on 47 shots (.872 SV%) in four period vs. the Stars this season.

McCarthy had one assist with a minus-12 rating in 35 games with the Sharks.

Steckel has appeared in four games with the Ducks this season and will likely play in a few more after Nick Bonino was injured on Thursday. Steckel has four goals and nine assists (13 points) in 32 games with the Admirals.

Ryan Reaves will slide into the lineup with Sobotka out, expect Chris Stewart to move up into Sobotka's spot on the third line. Sobotka is listed as day-to-day.

Despite suffering a head injury on Thursday, Bishop will get the start in Montreal this afternoon. Bishop is 26-7-4 with a 2.01 GAA and .932 SV% as he continues to be dominant in the Lightning cage. He is 1-0-1 with 0.92 GAA and .960 SV% against the Habs this season.

Varlamov allowed four goals on 35 shots in a 5-4 win over the Wild on Thursday. Varly has won 10 of his last 12 starts while posting a 2.69 GAA and .919 SV%. Varlamov got a fat contract extension on Thursday and he has earned it. Varlamov is 27-9-5 with a 2.47 GAA and .924 SV% this season. He is a must-start vs. the Sabres.

Quick was yanked after allowed three goals on seven shots in the first period in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins. Quick wrapped up the month of January with a 5-6-2 record, 1.85 GAA and .925 SV%. It looks like he will get the nod today against the Flyers, who have lost five of their last six.

Anderson gave up three goals on 38 shots in a 5-3 win over the Lightning on Thursday. It was a strong way to cap-off a very good January for Anderson. He was 6-1-3 with a 2.66 GAA and .917 SV% thus far in 2014. Anderson is 0-0-2 with a 3.24 GAA and .904 SV% against the Maple Leafs this year.

Johnson stopped 14 of 15 shots after replacing Tuukka Rask on Thursday. He has won each of his last three starts and carries a 2.30 GAA and .919 SV% into this afternoon's contest. He makes for a strong spot-start with the Oilers in town.

Filppula was injured on Thursday and will not play today vs. Montreal. He is listed as day-to-day.

Bobrovsky gave up two goals on 32 shots in a win over the Capitals on Thursday. After missing a month with a groin injury, Bob returned with a vengeance in January. He posted an 8-2-0 record with a 2.31 GAA and .926 SV% in 10 starts. He is starting to look more like the Bobrovsky of 2012-13, which is great news for the Blue Jackets and his fantasy investors.
