Mason starts vs. the Capitals.

Mason stopped 20 of 21 shots in a win over the Habs on Thursday. Mason's strong season continues, but is not winning as many games as his owners would like. He has won six of his last 10 starts despite posting a 2.45 GAA and .923 SV%. He will face Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals this afternoon.

Steve Mason
Grubauer starts for the Capitals.

Grubauer stopped 39 of 41 shots in a shootout loss to the Panthers on Friday. It was another great outing for Grubauer who is 2-0-1 with a 1.52 GAA and .957 SV% since being recalled from Hershey. He draws a solid matchup today vs. the Flyers. Hopefully for his sake, Steve Mason doesn't decide to pull a Ray Emery on a Capitals goalie.

Philipp Grubauer
Letang was vague about his upper-body injury. He absorbed a hit from New Jersey's Tim Sestito on Friday but finished the game. Letang was ruled out shortly before the game Saturday, and he isn't sure if his injury could be a long-term situation.

“We'll see,” Letang said. “I don't know what's going on right now.”

Kris Letang
Malkin crashed into the boards legs first and has been helped to the dressing room in Saturday's win over the Red Wings.

Malkin walked with a slight limp in the locker room following the game. “He has a lower-body injury,” coach Dan Bylsma said. “He was walking around after the game, but he'll get further evaluated (Sunday).”

Evgeni Malkin
Engelland received a match penalty for his hit on Justin Abdelkader in Saturday's win and faces certain further punishment after being offered an in-person hearing by the NHL Department of Player Safety.

in-person hearings allow for suspensions beyond five games. Engelland is a repeat offender, having been suspended for three games in December of 2011 for another illegal check to the head. The Penguins will have to recall a defenseman to fill the void that will be left by Engelland's potential suspension.

Deryk Engelland
The Red WIngs have recalled Tomas Jurco from Grand Rapids with Justin Abdelkader out with a head injury.

Jurco, 20, is a second-round pick from 2011. He'll be making his NHL debut. He's among the handful of promising prospects the Wings have in their system, leading the Grand Rapids Griffins with 27 points in 26 games this season.

Tomas Jurco
Justin Abdelkader left with a possible concussion in the first period of Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Abdelkader had to be helped off the ice after Pittsburgh defenseman Deryk Engelland slammed his shoulder into Abdelkader's jaw on a hit that came just as Abdelkader was reaching for the puck. Engelland received a match penalty and faces certain further punishment after being offered an in-person hearing by the NHL Department of Player Safety. In-person hearings allow for suspensions beyond five games. Tomas Jurco has been recalled with Abdelkader out.

Justin Abdelkader
Clemmensen first off at Panthers morning skate; he goes vs. Montreal.

Clemmensen stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 3-2 win over the Capitals on Friday. It was a strong outing for a goalie who has struggled mightily this season. He gets the call against the 20-11-3 Canadiens.

Scott Clemmensen
Ramo gets the call on Sunday.

Ramo stopped 26 of 27 shots in a win over the Sabres on Thursday. He has won two in a row and four of his last five with an outstanding 1.38 GAA and .948 SV%. Ramo is started to stake his claim to the Flames crease and will be looking for another strong performance tonight in New York.

Karri Ramo
According to Claude Noel,Matt Halischuk will be out for a while with upper body injury.

Halischuk played just five minutes before retiring to the dressing room for the remainder of Saturday's game with the Stars. He has three goals and four assists in 30 games.

Matt Halischuk
Lundqvist starts Sunday.

Lundqvist was pulled after allowed three goals on 13 shots in a loss to Columbus on Thursday. He is riding a four-game losing streak where he has allowed a total of 14 goals. It has been an unexplainably bad two and a half months for Lundqvist. He catches a break tonight with the Flames in town, he 4-8-2 with a 2.40 GAA and .915 SV% at home.

Henrik Lundqvist
Peters leads the Hurricanes onto the ice for warmups.

Peters allowed two goals on 30 shots in a OT loss to the Flames on Thursday night. Peters has played well going 2-1-1 with a 1.47 GAA and .942 SV% in his last four starts. He will be in tough against a Coyotes team who have scored 18 goals in their last five games.

Justin Peters
Hutton leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Hutton allowed one goal on 34 shots in a win over the Stars on Thursday. It was a second straight fantastic performance for Hutton. He has 0.87 GAA and .972 SV% in December, but draws a difficult matchup on Saturday vs. the Sharks.

Carter Hutton
Brodeur starts for the Devils.

Brodeur allowed five goals on 23 shots in a loss to the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Brodeur has just one win in his last five games while allowing a whopping 17 goals. Brodeur will make his second start vs. the Lightning tonight, in the first he stopped 16 of 17 shots in a 2-1 win. I would rate him as a below average start on a busy night in the NHL.

Martin Brodeur
Detroit native Jeff Zatkoff gets the start against his hometown team.

Zatkoff stopped 39 of 40 shots in a win over the Panthers. The win moved him to 4-2-0 with a 2.80 GAA and .901 SV% on the season. He has a decent matchup against a Red Wings team who have lost three straight - two via the shootout.

Jeff Zatkoff
Rask starts for the Bruins.

Rask allowed one goal on 27 shots in a win over the Flames on Tuesday. He was forced to take a seat on Thursday because of the flu, so unless the flu kicks back in before puck-drop, he goes tonight at Vancouver. Rask is 6-4-0 with a 2.11 GAA and .928 SV% on the road this season.
