Jones leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups; he starts.

It makes sense to have Jones go tonight after he posted his first career shutout on Saturday and it allows Ben Scrivens to face his former team in Toronto tomorrow. Jones is 2-0-0 with a 0.97 GAA and .955 SV% in his first two NHL starts. The Kings continue to get great goaltending in the absence of Jonathan Quick, we will see if it continues tonight in Montreal. The Habs are 9-0-1 in their last 10, so there are definitely better matchups tonight.

Martin Jones
After Justin Peters played on Monday, Ward should get the start tonight.

Ward gave up three goals on 25 shots but the Hurricanes pushed four passed Alex Stalock and added an empty netter for the 5-3 win. It was Ward's fifth win of the season and first since November 27, he is expected to go again tonight vs. the talented Oilers. He is 3-1-1 with a 3.14 GAA and .895 SV% on the road this season. If the team does not announce the starter prior to puck-drop, check-back at 9 p.m EST when they hit the ice for warmups.

Cam Ward
Dubnyk in net for Edmonton.

Dubnyk allowed two goals on 27 shots in an OT loss to the Flames on Saturday night. It was a tough loss after grabbing the win against a much better Avalanche team two night's prior. He gets the call against tonight against a Carolina team who are starting to find their stride as of late.

Devan Dubnyk
Smith will be between the pipes for the Coyotes.

Smith gave up three goals on 32 shots in an overtime loss to the Canucks on Friday. After a great start to the season Smith has been struggling lately. In the last month he has won just three of nine starts while posting a 3.27 GAA and .904 SV%. His pedestrian numbers are ones you will likely want to avoid at Colorado tonight.

Mike Smith
The Islanders have recalled Ryan Strome but he will not be in the lineup tonight.

There was some weather trouble for Strome's flight so he will now just meet the Isles in Phoenix tomorrow because the team did not want him to fly all-day today and then play tonight. He has been recalled because he has been torching the AHL and the Islanders have some serious issues when it comes to generating offence. Strome is expected to make his NHL debut on Thursday after posting nine goals and 24 assists in the first 23 games of the AHL season. The Islanders are not recalling Sidney Crosby, but Strome has some serious offensive talent and is worth a look in all leagues, but most of his value lies in keeper leagues at this point.

Ryan Strome
Poulin starts for the Islanders.

Poulin allowed two goals on 23 shots in a loss to the Kings on Saturday. It was a decent outing for a goaltender who has struggled. It is not all on the goalies on Long Island right now, as it appears the entire lineup is in a slump (minus Tavares). Poulin has a brutal matchup vs. the Sharks tonight.

Kevin Poulin
Smith is expected to start for the Coyotes.

Mike Smith
Rask starts for the Bruins.

The Bruins are severely banged up at forward and on defense, but the one constant remains Tuukka Rask in the net. He has been great all season and is coming off of a 28 save performance in a 3-2 win over the Penguins. He is 15-7-2 with 1.91 GAA and .934 SV% and is a must-start every night.

Tuukka Rask
Hamilton will be out two-to-four weeks with a lower-body injury.

The Bruins defenseman continue to drop like flies as now they are down to just five healthy defensemen. Hamilton play just 5:58 before leaving Sunday's game vs. the Maple Leafs. The Bruins are unsure if Johnny Boychuk will be available tonight. Unless someone is recalled soon, the Bruins will play with five D-men if Boychuk can't go.

Dougie Hamilton
Daniel Paille has an undisclosed upper-body injury and won't be available for tonight's game.

The Burins have recalled Nick Johnson on an emergency basis and he will enter the lineup for Paille. There is no word on how long Paille will be out, but the injuries keep piling up for the Bruins.

Daniel Paille
The Bruins have recalled forward Nick Johnson from Providence on an emergency basis.

Johnson has 11 goals and nine assists (20 points) in 23 games with the Providence Bruins this seasons. He has played in 104 NHL games tallying 14 goals and 37 points with the Penguins, Wild and Coyotes. Daniel Paille is unable to play tonight so Johnson slides right into the lineup to make his Bruins debut.

Niemi will start tonight.

Niemi was not very busy on Sunday stopping just 10 of 12 shots, but Josh Harding was magnificent and Niemi walked away with the loss. Niemi has been very streaky this season but the overall product has been good. He enters tonight's matchup with the Islanders at 16-5-5 with a 2.30 GAA and .914 SV%. Niemi is a must-start tonight.

Antti Niemi
Bernier starts tomorrow vs. his former team.

After starting 54 games between 2007-13 with the Kings, Bernier will face his former team on Wednesday. He held and 29-20-6 record during his time in Los Angeles, but it is his 9-8-2 record with the Maple Leafs that he cares about now. It is a tough matchup, but the extra fire from facing his old team makes him a strong play.
