Desjardins has been brought up to backup Semyon Varlamov with JS Giguere injured. He is not expected to play in any games.

Dan Cleary goes on IR retroactive to February 8.
Cleary can return at any time as his placement on IR simply opens up a roster spot. The third line winger scored 11 goals and 27 points through 55 games. In addition, he's been ruled out for this week's games.

Kiprusoff gets the start tonight as Calgary looks to earn a fourth consecutive win.
In 23 career starts against the Stars, Kipper has a 9-11-3 record with a 2.32 GAA, .910 SV% and one shutout.

Although the Devils are in the market for a veteran defenseman, coach Pete DeBoer said today that injured rookie defenseman Adam Larsson is on the mend and his injury, which has been called a lower back bruise, isn't more serious than originally thought.
Sounds like Larsson will miss a few more games but he should be OK. The rookie has been a bright point in an average season for the Devils, scoring two goals and 16 points through 47 games.

In 12 career starts against the Wild, Mason has a 5-5-2 record with a 3.24 GAA, .881 SV% and one shutout.
Trotz said Hornqvist will not make the trip to Detroit and Dallas.
Hornqvist is officially ruled out for two games but could miss even more time. He has 17 goals and 29 points in 55 games.

Potter is day-to-day with his groin injury and likely misses another game or two. In his first 41 games with the Oilers, the journeyman has three goals and 17 points.

With left knee injury, Brooks Laich has been playing wing in limited ice time. But McPhee says should be back at center in next few days
Laich has been practicing at center and should get another look there as soon as he is fully healthy. He has 10 goals and 28 points in 56 games.

Despite getting pulled last night, Clemmensen should see his fair share of action. For those of you desperate for a goalie, he could be trusted in certain situations.

Tyutin missed today's practice due to the birth of his child. The steady d-man has four goals and 24 points in 57 games. Don't expect him to miss any playing time.
