Niemi allowed four goals on 46 shots in a loss to the Jets on Sunday. It was Niemi's fifth straight loss and the fourth time in those five losses that he has allowed four goals. He and the Sharks have drastically cooled off after a blistering start, but a trip to Calgary tonight should help them right the ship.

Getzlaf will miss his second straight game tonight. He is day-to-day and is expected to practice tomorrow. Should he practice tomorrow he will likely return to the lineup on Thursday vs. the Lightning.

Shaw, who would have been a restricted free agent following this season, is now signed through 2015-16. He’s currently making $577,500, but is due for a significant raise after playing a major role in the Hawks’ run to the Stanley Cup in the spring. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately known. Twice passed over in the NHL draft, Shaw finally was taken by the Hawks in the fifth round of the 2011 draft. He has 25 goals and 24 assists and a plus-11 rating in 103 career regular-season games.

Andersen stopped 35 of 36 shots in a win over the Canucks on Sunday. The win moves him to move to 6-0. He has a fantastic matchup tonight vs. Florida - he is a must-start at this point.

Pavelec stopped 30 of 34 shots in a 5-4 shootout win over the Sharks on Sunday. He has now won two in a row and will face the Red Wings, who the Jets beat last week with Al Montoya in net. Pav has a 2.92 GAA and .909 SV% in 15 starts.

On Saturday, Bobrovsky recorded his first win since October 25 when he stopped 24 of 26 shots in a 5-2 win over the Islanders. He had lost three straight starts prior to the W on Saturday and will be in tough tonight as the Blue Jackets visit Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals.

If Phillips can't go then Joe Corvo would enter the lineup for the first time since October 29. Phillips is a consistent high teens to mid-20's scorer, but there are a ton of players who can do the same with more upside.

Franzen missed the last four games with an illness and an undisclosed injury. The Red Wings need more from Franzen. They rely on him to score goals and so far he has just two in 13 games. Hopefully for Detroit and his fantasy owners, he rediscovers that scoring touch that was once a highly coveted fantasy asset.

This is great news for the Rangers as Nash continues to progress towards a return. Concussions can be very tricky and it is difficult to pinpoint a firm timetable. Continue to monitor his status, his next step is to join his teammates for full practice.

Clutterbuck has missed the last three games after scoring a goal and adding an assist in his first 12 games with the Islanders. They will likely announce their lineup later in the afternoon, stand-by.
