On Wednesday, Rask was given the night off for the first time this season. He will be back in goal tonight vs. the NHL's top team. It will be his first career start vs. San Jose, it is a tough matchup but Rask is a hard tendy to bench.

Bishop was pulled after giving up four goals on 17 shots vs. Boston on Saturday. Boston was all over the Lighting and there was not much Bishop could do. He will face the Hawks for the second time this season. The first time around he turned aside 37 of 39 shots in a 3-2 shootout win in Chicago.
Bergenheim has yet to play this season after undergoing hip/abdomen surgery, but appears as if he could play tonight. He has not appeared in an NHL game since 2011-12 because of injuries. That season he had 17 goals and six assists (23 points) in 62 games.
In Maple Leafs practice Clarkson was skating on a line with Dave Bolland and Mason Raymond. He has served his 10-game suspension for leaving the bench during a fight in the preseason. Clarkson had 15 goals and nine assists (24 points) in 48 games during the lockout shortened season.
This is the first morning skate Parros has participated in since suffering a concussion in the season opener on October 1st.
In Hutton's first start as a Predator he played very well. He turned aside 38 of 39 shots in a win over the Jets on Sunday. If he starts tonight he will face the Jets once again, making him an interesting spot start option, given the success he had the first time around.
Gelinas was paired with Adam Larsson in the morning skate, suggesting he will play tonight. The 54 overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft has two goals and one assist in five games with Albany (AHL).
Elias missed the last two games with an illness but was taking line rushes with Andrei Loktionov and Jaromir Jagr this morning, suggesting he has recovered and will play tonight. He has two goals and two assists in seven games.
Mason has had seven days off since the last Flyers game, so he will be well rested vs. a banged up Rangers team. In his last start he allowed three goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Penguins. Despite a good GAA (2.37) and SV% (.923), Mason only has one win in six starts. It is a good matchup for him tonight, he'll face Cam Talbot making his NHL debut.
After his ninth game the Penguins had to decide whether or not to keep Maatta and burn the first year of his entry-level contract or send him back to juniors. "Based on his play, we believe this is the best decision for Olli and the Penguins." Penguins GM Ray Shero said. Maata has one goal and two assists while averaging 15:03 TOI in nine games.
Megna will be looking to make his NHL debut tomorrow night against the New York Islanders. The second-year pro was off to a great start with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, three goals and two assists in six games.
Bennett has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury. He is eligible to return to the lineup whenever he is healthy.

Pekka Rinne is dealing with something and will see a doctor this morning, which would explain the call-up of Hellberg. He is 1-2-0 with a 2.23 GAA and .913 SV% with Milwaukee.
Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli issued an update following the game, saying that “Loui is staying overnight in Buffalo for precautionary reasons. He is expected to return to Boston (today).” It is safe to assume that Eriksson will not play tonight vs. San Jose.
At 5:49 of the third period, Scott came across the ice and hit Eriksson in the neutral zone after Eriksson had moved the puck. Scott received a five-minute major for charging, as well a five-minute fighting major for an altercation with Boston's Adam McQuaid that followed the play. Eriksson received assistance leaving the ice and did not return. The Bruins announced after the game that he would be staying in Buffalo overnight for observation, but was expected to return to Boston on Thursday.
The incident occurred at 6:28 of the first period in Anaheim's 6-3 home win over Dallas on Sunday. Garbutt left the penalty box and skated at Penner before leaving his skates to deliver a check. He hit Penner in the head, and the Anaheim forward had to leave the game. Penner didn't travel with the team for a road game in Toronto on Tuesday.
This move means that both Tye McGinn and Michael Raffl will stay with the Flyers for the time being.
