With the injury to Alexei Emelin yesterday, #Habs have recalled Nathan Beaulieu from the Hamilton #Bulldogs of the AHL.
Beaulieu has one assist in two games with the Habs this season.
The Montreal Canadiens are awaiting results on injured defenceman Alexei Emelin, who left Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins with an apparent left knee injury.
Nathan Beaulieu has been recalled because of the injury to Emelin.

MacDermid recorded two goals in his first two games since being traded to the Stars. Tom Wandell will likely enter the lineup in his spot.

This does not always guarantee the starter but in the case of the Kings the first goalie off has started every game this season. Bernier posted a 23-save shutout against Minnesota in his last start. He has another tough assignment tonight as he will face Pacific Division leading Anaheim Ducks.

After going scoreless in his first four NHL games, Bennett has collected nine points over his past 15 games.

Predators head coach Barry Trotz announced yesterday that Rinne will very likely start every game for the rest of the season. He played very well yesterday, stopping 29 of 30 shots he faced. However the Preds offense couldn't get one passed Ray Emery and lost 1-0. Rinne will face the Hawks again today.

Brodeur allowed two goals on 18 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Maple Leafs last night. He has now lost six straight games. He has a pretty good matchup against the Vanek-less Sabres.

Bishop allowed three goals on 27 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Islanders last night. He will get the his third start in four days tonight against the Capitals. Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom have been firing on all cylinders lately, so be wary of the matchup.

Miller has started April off on the right foot, going 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .947 SV% in his first two starts this month. He has a solid matchup against a Devils team who is struggling without Ilya Kovalchuk. New Jersey has lost six in a row.
Winger Thomas Vanek (muscle strain) will miss his sixth straight game tonight. The Sabres’ leading scorer skipped this morning’s skate but should practice again Monday.
Rolston still believes Vanek could return Tuesday in Winnipeg.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
