The Flyers have waived D-man Kurtis Foster
Foster is known for his big-body and hard slapshot, but he is not the same player he was before he broke his leg. He has five points in 17 games this season, he could very well be claimed by a team who needs a big shot from the point.
John Erskine activated off IR. #Caps
Erskine has only appeared in 17 games this season for the Capitals. No word on if he will return to the blueline tonight, I would expect him to sit out.

Drewiske was expendable after the Kings traded for Robyn Regehr yesterday. He has just one goal and three assists in 20 games with L.A this season.

Lee just signed with the Islanders after finishing up his Junior year at the University of Notre Dame with 38 points in 40 games.
Goalie Start
Poulin in goal tonight for #Isles
Poulin will make his third start this season and his first since March 21st. He was unable to win in either of his first two starts while posting a 3.88 GAA and .866 SV%. He has a decent matchup tonight vs. the Jets but I would look elsewhere.

Projected starting goaltenders:COL- Semyon Varlamov (2012-13 stats: 10-17-3, 2.99 GAA) and NSH- Pekka Rinne (2012-13 stats: 13-10-7, 2.33 GAA)
Varlamov was pulled after giving up three goals on 13 shots in yesterday's game vs. the Red Wings. He will likely be back in goal tonight because he is the clear #1 goalie in Colorado and he did not last long last night. He is still looking for his first win on the road this season.
Goalie Start
Pavelec will start for the Jets.
Pavelec has lost each of his last two starts while allowing seven goals combined. He will be in the cage tonight when the Jets take on the Islanders. Both teams are in the midst of the Eastern Conference playoff race, so it is a big game for both teams. Pavelec could make for an OK start but take a look at your other options.
Line Change
Jaromir Jagr will wear No. 68 for the Bruins and won't be available to play tonight vs Ottawa. Will join team tomorrow #BruinsTalk
It is unknown who Jagr will play on a line with but he will definitely see a lot of power-play time and will continue to be solid fantasy player in his new home. We could see Nathan Horton moved down to the third line and Jagr join David Krejci and Milan Lucic, but we will know more tomorrow.

#Caps announce they've resigned D Jack Hillen to 2-year extension worth $1.4 million
Hillen is in his sixth NHL season and his first in Washington. Hillen is a solid stay-at-home defenseman meaning he is not fantasy relevant. He has just seven points in 65 games over the last two seasons.

Chris Higgins signed a four-year, $10 million deal with Canucks worth $2.5 million per season.
Higgins has recorded 29 goals and 33 assists in 120 games since coming over from Florida in the 2010-11 season.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
